I think that this concludes the second phase of the game: consolidation of borders and pacification of the homelands. I felt that I needed to attack, despite not having anything but spearmen. I just researched Mounted Warfare, and can build "Elusive Cavalry", but the spearmen should suffice. Time for my remarks: 1. I see some old bugs: Magnar has quite a few "Burning Blades" stacked. My troops do not stand a chance. I'll try to trick him into

Poor soul says: "Sir, sir! A giant spider is attacking our village! We're being killed!" Button6 says: "I'll make a note of this and come back later. I say: "I'll make a note of this and come later to loot the bodies"

It is spamming pioneers, but cannot make them fast enough. Production got nerfed for everyone, and the AI is really nowhere as good as a player at adapting to the scarcity. Thus, unless you are playing at levels where the AI gets high bonuses to its economy, the AI is starved for production.

I have never seen a tile like that -- with 5 materials; and it still had essence, and some food.
This is the problem with the writeup being in character - information gets lost. New Home is 2/4/2, the extra materials come from "Enchanted hammers" and a clay pit nearby. The way it started is like this. The best I saw on turn 1 was 4/2/1, with no river or forest. I hired

Strange, I have Win 7 Pro 64, and Fallen Enchantress works quite well, both in full screen and window mode. The only time I have problems is when it plays the intro videos in full screen mode but pretty much every game that uses a third party player does it. Hell, compared to the Total War old games (which I still play) everything seems like a mild annoyance.

I think this is the end of the initial settlement period. Usually I never stop expanding until I am pushing against the AIs borders, but with my Sovereign not leaving her sphere of influence, my prestige is low. For comparison, Petar was level 15 on turn 32 in my last playthrough. Time for my remarks. 1. Ridiculous is ridiculously easier than Insane. This is the first time I'm playing on Ridiculous since June, and the difference is huge. The AI'

If you look at the detail screen, and hover your pointer over the "attack" value, you will see a break down of the damage, with types. For example, a champion may have a sword, which does cutting damage, an amulet that adds cold damage, and an enchantment that adds fire damage. When he actually lands

This really should not be happening, at least not so quickly. I can see the argument that after some time, the Empire/Kingdom's influence will heal the land. I actually love it when a town of mine creates a fertile patch. But with towns it happens after a long time and with a huge investment. Outposts should not be able to do it, at least not without a few upgrades.

Well, I love snaking. May come from having grown in a city that looked like a T. The horizontal bar was snaked along the river, and the vertical bar was along the road to the country capital. Until the city started growing in the 80s, most buildings were between the river and the crests of the hills between which it ran. In game terms, I love being able to use my cities to push the enemy's dominion and deny passage and resources. In my book, having

I agree with UmbralAngel that the above is the biggest problem Fallen Enchantress has. Many other players I very much respect have spoken about this. I'd list them, but then I would forget someone, and I'll feel bad about the unintended slight. As a matter of fact, I do not believe that there are that many who disagree. Most people are just not sure about how to fix it. There are a few proposed solutions floating around. If I were a better perso

This is the fourth in my series of play-throughs. The first two used powerful heroes and blitzkrieg to win on Ridiculous in .913 and Insane in .915 By turns 100 and 89, respectively, all five Empire AIs had been destroyed. The third one was the beginning of an attempt to beat .952 on Insane without ever being th

I am not aware for an analog for wargs. There are plenty of other mounts - boars, spiders, etc... but I do not think you can get them in any way except finding them in quests and in the possession of heroes for hire.

A city that has a stable INSIDE the city limits? Not in the city's zone of influence, inside the city's walls.

Try the wargs, too. They are usually better for mages and archers.

Check this promo from Impulse Driven . So, the Stardock Mega Bundle includes Fallen Enchantress, but the Stardock Hits Bundle doesn't? So Fallen Enchantress is not a Hit? As far as I am concerned, it already is - I have spent more time with it than any game that came out in the last two years. But it is certainly back luck to exclude it from the Hits Bundle.

The white horses can be also obtained from the shop of a city that has grown to absorb a stable. As long as the owner side has researched the technology, it does not matter whether it has the "Legacy of SomeoneOrElse" trait. So if you want to equip your heroes with a warhorse (significantly better than a horse) you have to. 1. Find a tile with wild horses. 2. Build a city nearby 3. Snake the city to reach the tile 4 Research the mounted wa
Quoting Tuidjy, reply 25If you ask me, everyone but heroes should get more bonuses on level up. There should be different bonus templates, though. Beast/monster/dragon/warrior/archer/swashbuckler/whatever. You mean like allowing each unit to have a 'path' some of which would be more powerful than others but would determine level up bonuses? That could be really cool. Then you could put a path on your trained un

That might cause some issues.
Can't someone who has accept to his PC check it? It's not that hard. Rush a pioneer, then disband it. If the population of the nearest city goes up, disbanding works. Then train five, group'em, and disband the whole army so that the city passes an upgrade point.
