i don't know if this thread is some sort of reverse internet tough guy thing, or if you are all just trying to preach to the choir or something. but anyway, THIS IS A SERIOUS INTERNET FOR SERIOUS PEOPLE SUCH AS MYSELF

eh, maybe i'm a fool but what the hell. just be aware that i have acquired several effigies and voodoo frog dolls, and that if the game does not live up to my expectations, THEY WILL BE ABUSED MERCILESSLY
playable? fun? interesting for multiple runthroughs? how's the magic? Out of 10, the beta is Playable: 7 - knocked off a couple points because too many people are reporting crash-bugs or graphic bugs, load inconsistencies, etc. My experience has been rather bug/crash free since the .95 beta. Fun: 8 - the game is really fun, but the UI gets in the way in many places and needs polish, and AI at t

probably qualifies as a stupidpost, but now that i can get access to the beta by buying the game, how is it? i was there for the original shitstorm around it's predecessor, so i guess i'm wary. i do like stardock though, and the $40 is something i have and it's reasonable besides. playable? fun? interesting for multiple runthroughs? how's the magic?
yes, i have read the devposts, but i'd still like to take the measure of what the community thinks at this juncture

it's the beta bro. always been that way, though not certain why. the game itself is DRM free, though. and that makes me happy.

Reply to Stupid DRM! in PC Gaming
Quoting Cikulisu, reply 27crack it, problem solved Yes we all know how much of an incentive DRM is to inspire, motivate and even force otherwise law abiding citizens in that direction but sadly After the cracking cometh the locking! (know your forum rules)
afaik, at least so far in 'murika it's perfectly legal to crack a game you bought?

item creation is what the enchantment book should be for. allow sovereigns to imbue run of the mill items with large amounts of mana and an element. this way you could enchant them with the spellbooks you already own. so a 500 mana sword of fire would be permanently ablaze, for example. or you know, a sword of death. or a sword of life. you could also add quests that give extremely powerful magical relics. dragonscale plate for instance.

the game is all around much better, much more intelligible and much more stable. i average a crash every 12 hours of play time or so, and the game makes much more sense. the AI seems smarter in general and the game is much improved. son, i am not disappoint.

your card is pretty garbage bro, and the game (especially in large battles) can get pretty intense, even though the models are old.

yeah, still happening to me too, (eventually) the slowdown seems to have gotten much better with 1.07 though, so we are moving in the right direction. definitely bearable now.

i will also make post to smack the devs upside the head, because this is a productive area of discussion and i agree wholeheartedly with the op that they haven't been griefed enough already. personally attacking froggy certainly helps [e digicons][/e]
