In NZ it is already the 20th - can I have it now :) I can't think of a game that I have put so many hours into since - well a long time. For that reason alone when, in the future, I look back and think about 2010-2013 it will be associated with WOM and FE - well done people. I look forward to each update and check this website daily to so see if there are any cool updates. Sometime the detractors get a bit much all pulling in different directions and needing

As a developer we have same issues with DirectX and truetype fonts - they are a pain and it was difficult to work out which fonts at which sizes were suitable. Sometime we ended up using fonts rendered to a texture but that buggered up many of our formatting routines that were using. Anyway, I appreciate the change - the result looks more polished and readable. It is a shame that some people go out of their way to post pointless cr

I haven't had a single CTD in the current beta - solid. Only hassle has been an inactive "turn" button. Bring on beta 5 :) I have put in more hour of quality game time in FE than I have in Civ 4 and 5 combined.

Cheers guys. I am at work at the moment so difficult to answer some of the questions. I prefer Altar or Tarth as starting player. I haven't fiddled with custom sovs yet. I generally play medium or large maps. I use CTL-N until I get an area that looks good, 2 essence for my starting town. I feel I am probably building stuff that doesn't need to be built, e.g., reduce unrest when unrest is at 2% - I need to star

Hi all, This is probably just me but I am wondering if others are finding the same. When playing FE I find I am either unstoppable or I am everyone's whipping boy. I either win without trying or I get ground in the dirt with no way to stop the enemy. Neither situation is great and unstoppable becomes a bit boring and the other extreme is very frustrating. I play at normal difficulty and I am an average player (not hardcor

Glad I am not the only one. The other one I hate is the "monsters in your territory". That is fine but I know there is a dragon or drake in my territory, I can't do anything about them so I ignore it - hence I ignore the message. Can't the message says "There are 3 enemy units ion your territory", that way when, in the next turn, it says "There are 4 enemy units in your territory" I know that I have a new problem to look at. Maybe the cloth map could have a a n

Colour Genie. Purchased by earning money doing a paper round. Not a popular computer but it did place me on a path that led me to what I do today, programming educational software for thousands of kids worldwide.

I have had a few games where I couldn't win by domination. Either because then enemy was miles away and I couldn't be arsed finding them. Or I was friendly with remaining civs or finally the other civ was quite powerful and I didn't want to go to war as it would just drag on the game too long/.

Beta 4 - as currently build stuffs up every time I use pillar of flame to defend oncoming armies. In the meantime I finish reading "Wool" which is simply the best book I have read in a while. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wool_(series)

for me Civ went downhill after Civ 2. That was the version I had most fun with. I hate HATE the cartoon style of the later civs. Why couldn't we have more serious looking avatars for the leaders? Such a turn off.

I read the article mentioned above http://cavalorn.livejournal.com/584135.html#cutid1 Shame that this line of thought was not put into the movie in a more overt manner, it would have improved ti. As it is the movie is a jumble. It is a shame I was hoping it would become a classic like Alien and Aliens.

The movie was OK. Visually it was awesome. The story was terrible. It just didn't make sense it was shallow and lacked realism. Seriously you fly to the other side of the galaxy with a bunch of scientists but the whole scientific methods gets left behind on earth as they run into unknown pyramid and start messing with things without documenting anything or testing anything. They spent trillions of dollars getting people out there and they decide to go with a

The game keeps getting better. I just finished my first game with 0.915 and it was awesome. The factions were more present, they initiated contact with me to trade. The factions now feel different from one another. I had a great time.

@Kamamura_CZ completely agree. Refusing to talk is just rude, there should be a way to uni-laterally null and void any treaties you have and go to war. I spent ages trying to get into contact with a faction I needed to go to war with, they refused to talk and my armies just sat there idle.
