This happend when I hit shift-tab to bring up the impulse menu. I rebooted my system and it was fixed. Never had it happen prior, but tis fine now
Terrible idea. We've already been told we would receive FREE content and potentially some paid expansions later on. Why would you want to pay for the free stuff? I think Brad and the decision makers have a better idea of what they can and cannot do with their money =p
I personally like Pariden because they appear to be stuck up. Anytime I play against them they are always demanding gold from me and always cocky during diplomacy lol. I also like to play as Resoln because its always fun to be evil. I personally choose faction based on story/looks versus bonuses, thats just me though. Resoln is prolly the weakest with bonuses sadly.
Actually elemental's retail box states "enhanced for multi-core." Find that amusing since it's been stated its barely utilizing a 2nd core.
Sounds like everyone has their fav = p I guess its a tough question to ask cuz everyone will feel differently. Like if u were to ask me best MMO I'd say EQ1 everytime! =) I just downloaded the GalCiv2 demo so going to try that out (prolly shoulda checked on demos before asking huh?). Both games do look interesting though. Thanks for all your input.
Did you know you could click on that shield with a city selected to bring up a stack eject window? I didn't for several days!
OMG, brilliant! I had no idea you could do this.
Been thinking about picking up either Galactic Civ 2 or Sins of Solar Empire. What would you guys recommend? I am fairly new to the 4x genre so Galactic Civ looks a bit intimidating. Are both fairly easy to pick up and learn? I've got the basics of Elemental down already from a few hours of play so fairly competent at learning these games =P I'm not so much worried about all the minor details of how things work as long as I have the general idea down and having fun! I saw best buy has soase c
So I was just looking at my main city and it says I have -28 open tiles to build on yet I can continue building. My second city is half as built up; says 0 tiles, and cannot build anymore buildings. Any ideas? I really think this whole city building limit needs to be better explained...cuz I'm at a loss. I am most definitely not at the 50 buildings limit on city #2 and not within 5 tiles of enemy city, or even my own cities. No mountains, hills or anything near city 2. (I have built on
I am at turn 500 and playing a pure caster sovereign. I think the damage is decent from the spells. Sovereign is about lvl 7 and the armies I'm facing are 1700 points to 2400 points.
Here's what I like. Forewarning this is a perspective of pretty much a 4x newbie...obviously don't understand the detailed working of things. Normal difficulty was designed with me in mind! -Graphics. Game has a great look. I really like the "painted" visuals of the game. Very unique and fantasy feel. - City Building. I like watching my city grow, and I like that its not as simple as randomly placing a building. Seeing people working and chatting in city when zoomed adds
I really like the highlighted tiles too. Seriously if they can work out the bugs and make tact battles look and play like the image...best game ever.
GoG is an amazing website, thanks for posting that. They have Blood....BLOOD! I am having flashbacks to my fps days lol. So awesome. Bunch of games on their I may check out...Arcanum I must buy.
http://www.1up.com/media/03/7/4/8/lg/462.jpg What happend to the tactical battle UI in this image? It looks like it uses a que system like you would find in Heroes of M&M V. I really like the look of it. Just a random thought, a que system like that might spice up tact battles a bit.
Wow. Sudden negativity.Huh? sounded more like he knows Stardock is a small indie developer that does things its own way and the reviewer see's it coming through into the game.
I think he meant sorry for the pun.
I like the unit design feature. I think it has a ton of potential once developed more.
Around turn 500 last night the enemy invaded me and the game dropped to 5fps including tactical battles...sound went out, troops disappeared, etc etc. No improvements from restarting the saved. The game is completely unplayable near endgame. End turns stutter and take forever to complete. It feels like there is so much going on behind the hood the game just can't handle it.
Some improvement with 1.06 but game should be running 60fps+ with the system specs folks are listing. I've run Crysis nearly maxed setting flawless =/ I'm still in the 10fps area with EWOM.
Mine loaded but could not move units.
Ok that makes sense. I was just worried that folks were going to begin abandoning the -3 city due to starvation. There must be a really good burger joint in that 2nd city.
Try casting it on the farm, that is only place it works for me.
Lol that is hilarious.
So food seems to be one of the tougher resources to gather. Now lets say I have 2 cities I control...my main city is currently +7 food and my second city that I sieged is -3 food. Is it then beneficial for me to establish a caravan between my two cities i.e. will that help increase my 2nd cities food? There are very few food sources on map I'm playing and I've built graneries etc and still not budging. Also I ams= confused about the global food pool, etc. But I noticed my global
