People don't put up with the same treatment in retail in real life, I don't see why it should be any different online.

Rants sometimes have a point to make though. I was hoping to see if the 'fanboys' were correct about Stardock or not and see if anything would actually get done for a change about the horrible treatment and wait I've gone through cuz of their error. But I guess not, going to get my money refunded and spend my time somewhere else...
Yeah, they're good (and fast) about fixing the forum, too bad sales isn't as competant. Waiting a week still no access, just had a thread deleted because I was voicing my frustration...
After waiting almost a week for a BOUGHT game to be delivered (the serial via email) to me I have contact 'sales' and demanded a refund. I have never encountered such an awfully setup sales/payment system that can takes your money and doesn't allow you access. The sales staff has been imcompetant, inefficient, extremely unhelpful and slow in solving this problem. I've deceided that Stardock/Impulse does not deserve my support. I'm tired of bitching about not ge
What I don't get is that why the system didn't store the Impulse account details that you need to login to use in order to purchase the game. Regardless of what email address you have paypal assigned to. It just doesn't make sense to me. I have emailed them the information, but they haven't sent any keys to any email. It is very very frustrating that its taking this long to sort out, and it'll probably be a week in total before it gets fixed without any consulation.</p
More than 5 days?! Thats a very inefficient and ridiculously setup system.
Yes, paypal email and Impulse account is different. Should that make a difference?
Just be careful with using paypal, I did and the money has been taken but haven't been activated in 5 days...sales system is probably buggier than Elemental is atm...
Should that really make a difference though?
And have to wait more than 5 days to get activation? The sales system in place obviously has as many bugs as Elemental does. I mean, what is up with a system that doesn't record what account made the purchase? It just takes the money sends the first receipt but no serial key...Would be nice to have a better system in place. This is the first time I've tried to buy a Stardock game, and looks like it'll be my last...Thanks Stardock...really... (I have lodged a tic
Yeah, I know, you're right...Felt really helpless and frustrated nothing was getting done. Just woke up and saw that I got a reply. It seems the system in place doesn't do a good job of recording which email it sends the confirmation email to, nor does it seem to do a good job of recording an actual purchase... I didn't want to bother any of the developers that post here by sending a PM, ultimately they're not the ones who are going to look at it, and it just wastes the
Still no reply from Sales....!!!!!!
Thanks Kyro, I had lodged a ticket@sales but have not yet seen a reply and it has been pretty much 2 business days. Nor have I received the 2nd email or a failure notice email...
Thx long_fella. I am quite wired atm, refreshing your mail 10+ times a day waiting for something does that to you.I just don't like to not have control over it, if I had it on my hd ready to play it'd be a better motivator to get my study done before I'd enjoy it as I've developed that discipline lately. Hopefully one day I'll get to play it....and I don't have to go to the trouble of lodging a fraud complaint with the credit card company...
I haven't gotten any e-receipt. I preordered a few hours before it was actually released, maybe that was the problem... I haven't even been told the date of the exam yet!!! I've just come back from living overseas for 3 years, where I did 'just meet people', now its time to go back to study cuz this world is pretty much 'all about the benjamins', need to get a career and job to live. . .
It would be really nice if someone pays for your product, has their credit card debited, actually get a response within the 2 business days stated when one opens a ticket because they still do not have access...Not happy...I'm studying for an exam lately, 8 hours a day, toiling through it and all I wanted was to play this at night to relax so I can do the study all again the next day...but instead I'm constantly refreshing my mail address and opening an closing impulse to see if there's any p
Was that your second email from them Zorbane? If so, I'm still waiting and aching for it >_ Btw, does Netspace cap you whenever they feel like it like Internode do?
The email we get to confirm our order says the game will come up in Impulse under 'My Games' and the serial will be in there. Isn't that whats supposed to happen? Charge has been taken from the credit card, but no access no emails nothing yet... Hope we get it soon...Although I'm looking at waiting another day due to time differences -_-
I guess you must live in Tasmania or are not with node!
30 minutes? Argh, I wish the internet was that fast in Australia. The internet here is as good as it is in Botswana (I apologize if I have offended any Botswanians who happen to be reading this). Will take me about 10 hours on my current speed -___-
I'm still waiting to download. I have been waiting for about 11 hours now >_____ No reply yet from sales...
