I used to read so many anti-Steam threads and it kinda made me a bit anti digital download too, but then I got Impulse for EWOM and Steam for Civ V and I pleasantly found they're not so evil after all!
I haven't checked this list for a while...Wow!...it's really grown! Great work you guys...look forward to the 1.09o release!

My available update for download now says 1.97GB up from 1.89GB. Too big! My current version is 1.09n beta I think I'll wait until 1.09o is released! @kapeman - What version does yours say when you fire up the game and is it just AI changes?
Downloading the entire game again in an update didn't seem right so I cancelled it. Must be a glitch in the system. if there was a new update, they'd have told us about it with a changelog.

Maybe there are still files left in your system from the original install that are confusing things. Do you have CCleaner or something like that to make sure your system is clean before you try downloading and reinstalling it again?

I must admit I don't really understand what this journal entry is all about as I'm putting off learning the game until 1.1 comes out, but I think it's great to see this kind of info coming direct from the devs when compared to the 2K forums where info seems really hard to come by. I'm kinda holding back from learning how to play the game at the moment because it sounds like a lot is gonna change and I think I'll get confused. I'd like to try the beta when it's released, however bad it is, just to get an idea of what it's going to be like and to get an idea of the game's mechanics and I think it'll be interesting to see how it develops.

I've got an Intel X25-M 80GB 2nd Gen SSD and it's superb! Lightning fast and a nice size for my OS and most used apps. Def get one...you won't regret it!

I hope the entire SD crew take a good few days off to play Civ 5. I know we're not supposed to compare, but they're both 4x games so comparison is always gonna happen. These things usually come down to economics and denial. People who can't afford to buy the latest hot thing and want it desperately and know that lots of other people can afford it, attack it instead to make themselves feel better. It never works!
