I dont even see the editor, where is it? lol

Good write-up. To me the coming months will be crucial to me to decide if i regret or not giving my money so fast. Stardock has got its work cut out for them on the polish front (ah ah) and i hope they make modding the central part of this game, not adding campaigns. One other thing that could use some loving is the tactical battles, could use more variables to spice things up.
Just thought about this some more, and it could work with spells being needed as a pre-req. Say "Fire tornado" needs to be learned after you have learned Fireball (fire) and Whirlwind (air, dont know if it exists, just for the sake of example). Some spells could conceivably only be gotten through finding/gaining rare spells that lets you research that combine spell.
They have alot more important things to do than this IMO. Not to rag on the idea of improving the name generator, but i hope if this is taken into consideration its very low on the priority list.
I voted "I like it, i recommend it" because i think the game has great potential. But in retrospect im not sure i should have. After all, its a product thats priced at 50 US dollars. The game could easily tilt to i love it, or dissapointed, depending on what kind of polish and extras the devs put in to make up for this rough release version. To me its all about the modding, i dont care about campains. If some polish is added and the expansions and dev time is focused on expanding modding, i w
This is the kind of lack of polish that sadly this game is being ragged on with, it should be clear what bonuses an upgrade gives.
Suggestion for the direction of the game's expansions: As i play this game, i have a feeling more and more that although the software is a game, its also like an RPG book with a ruleset, monster tables and various locales. Youre playing a game, but you also have "in your hands" the tools to make your own adventure and story. Sorta like getting a campain book boxed in with the t
They should just call it a tutorial. Im ALOT more interested in Stardock creating tools for modders to play with and make better sandboxes than them wasting dev time with creating starcraft-like campains.
Theyre in my computerz, making me crash to desktop. Sometimes ill crash 5 times in an hour. Im still enjoying the game very much.
As spell mods start to pop left and right, do we have a way to easily pick which mods we want on or off? Like i would try your fireball but already have one that i had to dump files in mods folder for? I dont wanna lose those files thats my point, is there an easy way to pick mods, say like FOMM for fallout3?
That would be a cool way to extend the spellbook. Fire+air = spells like "Fire tornado" Earth+fire = "Magma" Water+air = "Tsunami" Earth+air = ? Fire+water = "Fire and Ice"
Currently, if you alt-tab out of the game while running in full-screen mode, it will cause the particle effects to stop working. This is fixed in the next patch. I believe the problem that some people are getting where particle effects never show up is caused by the same thing, and should also be working in the next patch. For the moment, running in a window may act as a work-around for these issues.
That is not the problem im
I have the same problem, sometimes animations work, sometimes they dont. http://pastebin.ca/1926198 My debug.err
New nodes on the map that you use like you would regular crystals, but gives access to new schools of magics, like Necromancy.
Ive been playing this game for 2 days straight. Its a bit lacking in polish, but it great nonetheless and could turn into something big if the modding aspect really takes off. Hey Editing units: In the version (1st non-beta version) we got before the 2 release patches, i remember making archers with red capes with +dmg. However in this version if i design units i cant seem to find that window where i edited the capes in the earlier build. Am i missing something?

There wasnt a mod folder in \elemental so i created one, ive got the 4 files in there, do i need to do something more? the "mods" folder should be there, make sure you have put it in the right directory also check "enable mods" (or something like that) in the options, and remember that you need to start a new game to make the mod work hope it helped
<

Like the title, an option that lets your camera stay put wherever you set it unless you move it yourself. Also a similar option called "Fast unit switch" that lets you decide if you want the game to move to another unit as soon as combat starts or tick it off if you wanna watch the world combat. Sorry if its already do-able, havent come accross it
And does the game decides randomly where to start the opposing teams on the tactical map or its related to how they met in the world map? Thanks

We'll show em. this is dumb, they may have been harsh but they really were just trying to look out for fans.
If they are looking out for fans, and not just corporate whoring, why did they give Spore a 91% score?
