I had the same issue with mthe spider nests. Got all the web andtook it back to the quest starter and nothing occurred.

I've had this happen as well. BecMae slow mid game especially oN larger battles.
THAC0 was unreal. However I agree with your suggestion for this game.
I think the simplest solution is just to not make zone of control expand with buildings (like you mentioned) and to not let troops "highway" through cities. Just make it so they have to move to the city center to garrison it. Problem solved.
I agree with this. I'm more than happy for the game to place the building itself as well.
That's not a bug. Your settlers are trying to go to a land wherit is is inhospitable. Not all land can be built upon. The lanof that you can builI on is often green, or there may be a river running through it. The reason why it shows up near the sovereign is that he just happens to be near fertile land. Move him next to your pioneers and the land underneathwon't still won't be accessible.
Can we havve an info session on how the resources work in a similar format as above. I understand the tile you place a city on has the most to bear. When adding a second city, do the resouces pool? Does production pool? Obviously research does. I can understand specialising cities to some extgent. A research city is easy to make. What about a food city. Are the grain resources global? - compared to food which grain is converted into.
Yes evoker and evoker 2 have the same desciption at least. I am unsure if they actualy provide different bonuses.
Design wise Fallen Enchantress seems like the game I always wanted from Elemental...so great job to all involved and thanks for listening to your community! With that said, at this point I am VERY concerned about the game on a technical level. I'm having all the same problems I had with the original game and at this point I'm wondering if it's just a problem with the engine and how much can be done about it. Save game crashes, st
Thanks for the reply
You never know what bit of info helps someone. PC's by their nature are so different and most people assume that their system is ideally optimised and it is the sotware's fault. I have raged many a time and it ends up a fair few times being my fault. That said this is a beta and there are bound to be bugs.
Maybe the empire just doenst have acces to that tech? It may not be a bug then.
Quoting Archonsod, reply 11 Heroes might be immortal, but since there seems to be a good chance of them picking up injuries when they fall in combat it's not that big an issue. Let your hero fall once too often and they'll (literally) be too crippled to be much use. Heroes that fall in a battle that you won do not recieve scars. THAT right
do you have a river near yor city. the option does not come up if there is nop valid tile to palce it on.
I had the same issue. The actual issue was with my system rather than the game. I had updated my motherboard bios and forgot to turn off the onboard sound as I have a dedicated sound card. My clue that the sound card was the issue was the sound crackled and seemed to skip regularly. Your errors may have nothing to do with this but it may not be a programming issue.
Are you sure its an OOM issue. WOm would tell you if it was OOM. I has the same issue with FE but it was my computer. I forgot to turn off the inbuilt sound card from BIOS when my bios got flashed recently and it was causing havok with my sound card. I have had no crashes since.
I have the same issue edit seems like this has been fixed in the upcoming patch
Will it not be available through impulse? It seems that you will be creating another store through which we will obtain Fallen Enchantress.
I just got back into 1.2a. It is enjoyable but the difficulty has been ramped up a bit from when I last played (playing on normal). I am happy with the general chnages so far and also looking forward to enchantress.
I like #3. #2 reminds me of warcraft.
Chaostis solution worked fine for me. 1. Use the "detect application" (in the menu button to the left of explore). 2. In the dropdown boxes: Product Category -> My Games. Product -> Elemental: War of Magic. Click Import. 3. Right click elemental, update it. It will turn into a 9.08MB or so patch because the game will be detected as version 0.00 instead of 1.10.&
Updating Impulse has not helped with the issue. I have the downloadable version - not from disk. Win 7 64 bit.
how was this sorted?
Are you playing as empire or as the other general mob. Empire depends more on summoning, portals and single powerful units and expensive units. I find their general units weaker than the other branch (whose name I forgot). I had similar problems as you when playign emprie and I had to stop researching warfare and go more towards the adventure/lore and oder allies that were expensive but very powerful.
I'm playing on a large map and the game slows down the further I get into it. It is still very playable but I expect it to be faster for a reasonable system - dxdiag attached. I also get out of memory issues but I think Frogboy has addressed that issue and will be fixed in a future patch. ------------------System Information------------------Time of this report: 12/27/2010, 16:45:48 Machine name: I7-MONSTER-PC &
I think a vry basic damage spell that you start off with would be good - and maybe linked to intelligence would help differentiate the sovereign from every other mug. I should be able to blat away a low level bandit, not save up some miney to buy a stick so I can hit him over the head with him with my 2 peasant army.
