I'll add a few more bugs: I almost never see lost libraries, what happened to them? There are tons of temples but there are just no libraries anywhere! Some of the damage in tactical combat is bugged (arcane strike- says it does -3 damage instead of 75% INT but actually does 0, bow attacks- either never hits or always says it does the attack power, other spells- some of the animations are a bit off as well (storm is- the lightning strike is in the wrong place)) Bec

Or you could have the second weapon only add 50% to your attack value (2 daggers would do damage 6 + other bonuses)
Third'd. Also can a few more options be added? Such as a boost to materials or food production?
For some reason I have not seen this bug that much yet, but it is a strange when I take out a few bandits and they have 40 gildar only 10 turns into the game.
1) The only enemy spellcaster seems to be the sovereign. They should cast imbue champion on at least a few of their heroes. 2) They seem to have trouble stacking their units. A couple of times I have picked off large groups of enemies because instead of being in a single stack, they were in a bunch of small groups even if they were in the same tile. 3) If they lose all their cities but their sovereign is still alive, they don't do anything. The sovereign will
You, Sir, have an excellent idea. This would make the quest/rpg side of the game much more interesting and immersive.
I found the same thing happening when I tried to use it. It never seemed to do more than 3 damage a cast. I also found a bug in the spell Storm. When I cast it, instead of the lightning-strike animation happening to the enemy it hits, for some reason it is over the caster. And about character detail, is there any way to find out what stats various characters have without leveling them up? I get information about their spell resistance, dodge, accuracy, attack, defe
I found this quite irritating as well, especially if the shard is 5-6 tiles away, i takes forever to snake my city out to it. Also, the shard has to be in the city for the +3 ess/turn improvement to be constructed.
This has been bothering me for a while, it's nothing major though. When I am creating a sovereign and am customizing their appearance, if I give them a hooded robe/cloak and then take it off again, they will be bald! While I like hooded clothes, sacrificing my sovereign's hair for them is irritating. Is there a way to fix this minor glitch?
Even if you take out the shard part of it, it is still a good idea to change the magic system to something like this since it adds a lot of depth and strategy to the use of magic. SD has to rework the system.
How about having the first in line child (if there is one) take over? It would make it more interesting. I escaped being crushed by Magnar once because their sovereign was hurt and headed home straight past the city where my main force was...
I have read many posts where people think the magic system is too bland, and, to be honest, it is. It does not matter what element you use in battle (unless you have a shard), the effect will be the same. One would expect different types of magic to have different effects making it useful to specialize in one type. Here are my ideas on how to make them different. Lightning: Always hits, no matter what. Against metal armors does an extra 25% damage (metal conduc
I support this 100%, something needs to be done and it doesn't look like it would be difficult to do
There are no problems with minimizing the game in windowed mode. The particle cauldron keeps working and the game does not crash.
Strangely, it has started working on startup now. Here is a new debug.err in which I started the game, went to the particle cauldron, loaded and played a few things, used alt-tab, opened it again, tried loadings stuff (didn't work this time) and then quit. http://pastebin.ca/1926173 Here is a bug I just found recently. When I'm in game and alt-tab then maximize the game again it will crash. <a href="http://past
It looks awesome but for some reason I can't download it. Maybe it's because my wireless is very sucky (i'm in a college dorm, it's just slow at times).
http://pastebin.ca/1926055 Here is the file. I have to go to class now and will probably be back in 2 hours.
It does not work going straight into it, or after minimizing the game. It just won't work for me.
Other units automatically get increased HP when they level up, so why not the heroes too since they are so much more important?
For some reason when I try to use the particle cauldron I can never see anything, all there is is a blank x-y-z plane for it to display on but nothing is displayed. How can i fix this so I can start messing around with spells?
As it is, the constitution stat is not that great. Every level, if you chose it, you can get 3hp. But every level you do is a level you do not increase intelligence/essence/strength. I have often ended up mid-game with my heroes lv5+ and still at 10hp, which is rather low when fighting against an army that can hit 80's. My idea was to have your heroes' health increase every level, with the rate that it increases effected by their constitution. Something like th
I think this is a pretty good idea, the magic system does need some work. It would be nice to change the way they are researched somewhat but maybe make the research more like the tech research: split the research categories into different books and have the chance to learn something based on the spell level or something (harder to research stronger spells). If you research spell level have it give bonuses to spell attack (less likely to miss, maybe greater damage) and make resear
I'm getting this same problem. I like powerful mages in games but my mages have not been nearly as strong as they should be. In one battle I had 20 intelligence and 2 fire shards, I think my max hit was 15, if I hit at all (fighting trolls with 150+ health, not really useful at all) instead of closer to 100 like it said.
Mine keeps crashing with win7 x64, Geforce GTX 260M. The problem (for me) may be lack of device drivers since my HD died recently and I haven't reinstalled everything yet. Not sure how to post the error reports though.
I found a rather odd glitch earlier today while playing Elemental. My sovereign married Ratek and not too long afterward another Ratek appeared to be recruited. This was not the odd part. The odd part was that when I recruited him, he had 22 essence (same as my sovereign) and all other stats were 10. Also his picture was that of a baby and was missing from its normal place in the description (this seems to happen to all of a sovereign's children). I don't mind ha
