So I go through the motions and then for some reason he just gets stuck at the edge of the screen. And just stays there for several turns while I close in and then finish him off. Funny thing is he was just one tile from escaping... Guess the AI messed up its path finding. Or maybe it just took pity on me.
I think maybe its a bug.... I've noticed that the retreat areas of the game so
If you make it too complex players will abuse the AI in single player mode, if it is too simple it wil be the other way around: The AI will move superstacks and take you by surprise in ways you cannot possibly prevent (challenging but not in a fun way!) Sure any limitation would be welcome but why not make it optional then and work on allowing players to build a well balanced empire, with enough units to defend all
I think there should be teleport, but there should be a balancing factor. With the global mana pool this could work out well. The cost of the teleport should be based on.... party size + distance traveled It would make teleport useful, but not a win all strategy. Another way of "fixing" teleport is to make it open a gateway. Instead of instantly teleporting troops to a location, the spell could take several turns to cast, open a portal that stay
If you want an awesome gaming laptop.... alienware is probably your best bet. As far as desktop, you can probably get better deals if you custom build it and find items on sale. Though I don't know, because I've never had an alien ware desktop. http://computers.toptenreviews.com/gaming-laptops/ I am definatly satisfied with my M15x.... well worth the $1500 I spent on it. I have gotten it before, but not since the latest updates. So its either very rare, or was removed from the game.
I think that heros who's ability description says "produces something in the town he stationed in" (or something like that), you have to keep them in town in order to get the bonus. While other heros you don't have to.
Thx and I also checked their notes for gamers and they say that you can create a hero and as a talent take organized movement and then the stack moves with what your leader has.Sad part is the choic
I looked at the map editor, I have no idea what it is doing? Also it seems rather determined to split into two separate continents with a large map.
Yeah, I know what your talking about. The create new map function is broken I think. There are alot of pre-made maps already in the game. What I do is usally load one that is close to what I want, edit it a bit until it is perfect, set a fixed start
Why don't you add more gold mines in the map editor? Its the only thing I can think of....
I build my city. Build a material production building. Build a farm. One hut. Then I don't build anything until I have enough resources for a pioneer. I try to get two cities as soon as possible, that way I can produce more materials faster. I can produce pioneers faster, and can capture more nearby resources. Sure I loose some research and gold production early in game, but the ability to quickly expand the kingdom/empire (which is based prim
I had a soul.... but traded it for Fallout 3 :-S
Drop them, or be able to trade them. If the game had more special items (since there is nothing really worth trading for now), it would be awesome if you could trade those too. V1.1 is where they will add more content (I think). If they do end up with more "goodies" please add a feature to trade them/drop them if possible. Maybe when you kill an enemy soverign a "treasure chest" appears on the map at the location.
I agree. I usually power up my PS2 and play a round of Tekken while waiting ;-) Seriously thought, its something that is really annoying.
If you want to use Elementium you pretty much have to cheat. There are three quest/notable locations that give Elementium (at least that is all I could find). One gives 1 unit, another 4 units, and the last 8 units of elementium. I usually sprinkle them around randomly before I play a game. There was also an elementium mine in the map editor (last time I checked), but it didn't work. I was wondering how difficult it would be to make it work via modding
You look around and great things you take for granted are suddenly gone and you can't get them back.
Sounds like complaining
You have a core group of complainers that edge out those that don't agree and are not willing to spend their time to be heard. Don't let them get you disgusted with what you have accomplished. Modding for those that like what you already have would be nice before you bow to those that have no life but to bend you to the
I've learned about FFH2 on this forum and spent some time playing first scenario of the campaign. The second one was too boring, so I abandoned it. Then I read the forum some more and realized I haven't played Age of Wonders. Purchased it at Impulse and it's totally great! Next level of awesomeness after HoMM3 for me. And has that great elements of MoM and Warlords. What do you people play and what else can you recommend?
If yo
I had the same problem. Some spells were missing all the time. For me when I changed the casters Intelligence from 10 to 12 it seemed to fix the issue. Don't know if that helps.
Not to mention, at least for me, this patch has made sure that the game crashes every 10 to 20 turns....
the Demigod issue has been fully explained many times now, but most recently Brad said three paragraphs worth on the 5th. Here's a partial quote and the link: "Q: Your act is getting old. Fool me once on Demigod, fool me twice, shame on me! [got this too in various forms] A: The Demigod debacle ultimately resulted from a fundamental communication failure between the publisher (Stardock) and the developer (Gas Powered
Sounds great! I know there have been many other attempts to make wheel of time mods for other games.... most of which did not succeed (unfortunatly). However I think this game's engine would be perfect for a Wheel of Time MOD! I would like to help.... but finding the time might be a problem for me :-S What age were you thinking of doing? My suggestion is that if you do it at the beginning of the third age (right
I have just have three rules: 1. The game has to be complicated, and deep. But also make the basics easy to understand. Yes I am asking too much, but there are games that I think succeded in this area. One fo my favorite was the Earth 2150/2160 series. 2. Enviorment effects your decisions. Your decisions effect your enviorment. They should be a combination of difficult, medium, and easy decisions. The&n
On one had that is realistic..... Look at North Korea... asking for aid even though they are loosing the war (If you didn't know, we never signed a peace treaty with North Korea, and are still technicaly at war). On the other hand... not every country is the same as North Korea. If you added more variables to the diplomacy.... like have the AI leaders with the Irrational flaw make irrational decisions.... The arrogant leader could demand 60000 gildars even
I understand what you are doing and and I think its good. But I don't think you should not have to appologize for other peoples' actions. You are not thier mommy.
Yet these games got pretty good scores (which reinforces the fact that most game review sites and magazines are pure joke) At least for me, initial release of Elemental was very solid. Maybe crashed after 30 min or so, which is perfectly acceptable compared to other lame releases from those so called AAA titles. And after day 0 patch, I heve not experienced a single crash yet. &nb
We'd prefer if people stopped attacking things period (except in the game).
In all honesty, I appologize for attacking hairrorist and suggesting he is a hypocrite.
I just wish people would stop posting spuriously and focus on keeping the forums clear so that our feedback and criticisms can quickly reach the developers. This bullshit is getting old.
