off-screen Mesa ...whatever that is

i was going to say... firefox updates sort of force you to relogin to some forum... but not others.... strange as it sounds..
hard to say whether a complete tech tree at the beginning is good or not. sots has a hidden random tree, for example. good.. so you don't get frustrated at the lack of a particular tech deep in.. (so you keep starting games to make sure you get the tech) bad.. can possibly get a bit same old same old..
rather odd that we had a os/2 warp + win 3.11 combo pre-installed in one of our old machines back when only thing is... i don't think we ever used the os/2 part...
different question... how do i get myself off the mailing list that sends out discount/weekend deals and other similar ads? i see there's a subscribe/remove from mailing list option inside impulse... but i've no idea if that's the right list. thanks.
.... as in waiting for the book to get to the bit that gets interesting.. or to wait for the next book to get written (nevermind published)? will it get to a situation where the book has to catch up with tv shows? that'll be funny.

obviously haven't considered that he's been chained and impaled with a sword onto something... then probably frozen (not necessarily ice) with magic or some such... and locked away somewhere... until the idiot adventurers walked in, broke the sword when trying to pull it out and let the "thing" loose.
..spike? that's the sword which broken hilt he's holding...
plenty of space for everything including kitchen sink.
you know... it should be dead easy to have 1 world difficulty toggle and 1 ai difficulty toggle on the same 1st page. no one gets confused that way. it's also easier to change 1 setting than say.. 9 settings.. people can always go and change individual ones on later screens.
wait.... what do you mean roads? i've seen maps start with roads in new games going back to 1.09ish i think. is that carried over from old games or some such (eg... i don't know... playing a certain map meant something is changed on it and stored.. beats me why) or do those maps have roads anyway? or are you talking about stuff that's sort of implemented already?
difference between homm and elemental is that you have stacks of gazzilions of units. lots of hp. unlike elemental... so unless you up the hp of everything... lots.. they will just meet a few spiders/wolves and all die due to simple attrition. take your average starting sov. how much hp has it got? by all means change.. but beware unintended consequences.
surely there won't be a updatesize key when there's nothing to update? (as in you've updated already)
depends on what's in your squad. your fastest thingy is as fast as your slowest... so you can make squads with 4 movements and squads with 3 (and that's not even counting mounts).. mixing gender / skill / etc with gear to give the desired effect...
deleted reg bit. copied over the impulse thingy (i don't use default directory) boot up impulse... says 1.99 gig update progress x/ 1.91 gig cancelled d/l deliberately don't install flash on ie... because i don't use ie anyway. win7 64 bit. digital version of elemental (why that should make a blind bit of difference is beyond me) registry entry after all that elemental$1.10.052$$1.11.053$$ 2138823650|1|2414201790|1 <
reset, etc doesn't do anything for me. 1.99 gig elemental$1.10.052$$1.11.053$$ 2138823650|1|2414201790|1 yes.. win 7 64 bit
metal max! though... the browser/flash one is a bit... meh..
1.1->1.11 shows 1.99gig starting update goes well beyond 10meg and the 1.9 gig didn't change at all. cancelled the d/l the reg entry is same as the 2 screenshots above blanked the reg entry.. start impulse again... still shows 1.99 gig digital copy.. since 1.00
don't you get fed up trying to collect characters and the like in those games? practically asking to play in front of a walkthrough.
... that "3d"ish avatar kills eyes...
I think it's perfectly reasonable to gain flanking attacks from two small units against one big one. Every played RTW or MTW? Flanking a large unit with your cavalry is one of the best tactics available, especially if you can attack both flanks at once. If you want to split your squad you send 2 squads of five, not one squad of ten. Remember the entire squad is supposed to be focusing on your target, that's what gives them the advantage.[/qu
If someone tried to pull a bow on me when I had a sword, he's probably get his arms cut off. Deciding who is 'too busy' to fight the archer could be a real pain for the design. I would just make a rule where you can use your bow at point blank if it's a rear flank attack. Either that or not at all, already most games don't allow it.
that's nonsense. it's a turn based game... so until combat is joined, there's no r
I think there's a threshold. The farther an archer wants to send his arrow, the higher he must arc it. The higher he arcs it though, the more inaccurate it becomes. They can shoot straight in front of them if the enemy is close enough. But archers shouldn't even be allowed to use their bow if the enemy is standing next to them.
so it gets more inaccurate if something (a hill tile even) is in the way.. that's better
