Elemental has come a long way besides the things you are already planing i would like to see a deeper quest/dungeon experience and a more diverse city building. Currently i kinda always build the same stuff in the 3 city types, maybe add some more choices in the building tree or a deeper advantage/disadvantage system for buildings. For the long term future a new GalCiv would be great, however the Elemental engine has one feature that was hardly used but could be the key

Less than a hour in the beta and the good old reload savegame from inside the game bug is back. Aside from that i have some tearing even after i turned vsync on in the ATI drivers and still no button ingame for this. Both of this was better/fixed in the last patch i tried 1.06 so how is this back?
Minor performance gains from disabling outlines for me (+5fps to 20-25) and it only affects close zoom, go farther away with a lot of cities and it drops below 20. So general performance is still a joke, but i guess having a gfx option now for the first time, that actually affects gfx performance is a good start.
So if anything that really caught me off guard as Im not seeing any of the things people are talking about. Not sure whats up. I mean if I had to guess that was maybe 40-50 turns into the game and the AI came and stomped me. Fairly early.
Thats about the only thing the AI can do and more showing the lack of proper starting positions balancing. If you survive the first 100 turns it turns into easymode.
Maybe stupid question but how do you marry in the first place, so far i never got the option and the game was close to 300 turns.
Got this problem too, i also have been able to reproduce the problem with the save file on a notebook that has a completely different setup than my desktop pc. I also noticed that loading isnt the issue here but the running game is, trying to start a new game leads to the same CTD as trying to load. Here is the crashfile and the save: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10582
This way we get a playable, complete yet improvable game first, and then we can HELP SHAPE future developments.
The lack of a playable and complete game is the issue that makes ppl angry here. So far i dont think i have ever hit the end game button a CTD always did that for me. Add to that the weak performance and a lot of minor bugs, i have found in just a few hours of playing makes this game just not ready for rel
There is no single save file, it is crashing almost every time i load from while playing. Already tried a new game same thing. However i noticed the only time it does not lead to a certain crash is when i start the game load and load a save soon after. So there is a short time window it works. But playing for a few min and then loading any save file(auto or mine) is a guaranteed CTD. Here is a debug.err. http://pastebin.ca/1923603
Same bug for me but with the 22.08 version so i guess that patch didnt fix it.

Same problem playing at 1680x1050 default setting but changing them does not seem to matter much. Cities and some objects bring me down to 15-20 fps. C2D 8400 Radeon 4870 1GB 4GB Ram WinXP 32bit
