I wouldn't say kill but it does seem to have a limiting effect on the gameplay.
THe Best manual I've ever seen came with the game "Darklands" Next to a fairly complete explanation of the game it also contained a good introductionary course in the medieval societe and lore complete with quotations and references.

I don't see why it should matter if most people don't read a sticky like that when it does help those who are really intersted in reporting and finding bugs. Oh one more thing, it also uses the defense value which you get after the 10% bonus for terrain, not sure if this is intentional
Beserk is using the wrong number for the defense value when calculating the attack power when cast on a group resulting in unexpectedly big bonusses to the attack power. While I agree that the AI is lacking in the use of most Terraforming spells it does use Curgen's Inferno ( the volcano) on ridiculous settings. In one of my recent games 2 of the AI opponents got wiped out through the use of volcano's by an other AI and as you can see in the below picture it was also using it on my cities You can see atleast 5 volcano craters here, all of which have been cast by an AI opponent <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10491696/Elemental_130262

I'm walled off completely in that game so the closes a unit from the AI can come is where my sovreign is standing checking the range in one of the pictures (unless they're on a ship, but I've never seen the ai make a ship and I didn't see any effidence of there being a ship close). The stack of units that the AI does have close to that has no caster in it
