I think sneaking in to get loot is a good thing, but the chance of success should be very small. If you fail a nearly unbeatable opponent should spawn. Think Bilbo Baggins. To keep players from sacrificing a hero to set off a monster bomb in opponents territory, the spawned monster should bear some kind of blood grudge against the invader and target those units or cities. It might make for an interesting gamble if you really needed some good loot. Maybe so

After spending a bit of time with the game I noticed the following: For the first time the cursor seemd to lag a bit, not outlining the dquare being hovered over. It also highlighed squares several positions away from where the cursor was positioned on several occasions. Paragon spell description text reads Casting sovereigh gets -5 to HP. Targe Friendly champion gains a level. If any of these stats is 3 or lower this spell can't be cast. N

Perhaps a Cleanse Land spell should allow you to rebuild at the site of a razed city at an appropriately high mana cost. I also like the idea for a spell that extends fertile land.

I think that some interesting things could be done with the hostile city enchantments. I don't think LOS should be required, but the city certainly should have been seen at some time. It might even be fun to have a spell Scry City, that would allow some chance to make a city emerge from the fog of war, making it be targetable. Of course there could be a counter spell that you could cast to prevent scrying (or at least make it more difficult). There should also be a spell like Shie
