Extra out of game content is ok (soundtracks and whatever). However I want the complete version of the game itself, no matter what version I buy. I don't want to feel like I need to buy 2 versions of the game to get all the content, or have to make many small additional purchases over time. Singleplayer games are good because they can be completed; if there are extra bits and pieces this satisfaction isn't possible and I would rather put my time into a primarily multiplayer

I'll visit a bookstor
Just saw this... Enya is the best music I've found for high stress coding. And there is enough of it to listen for the whole day without too many repeats. Oh, and Luca Turilli is the best for low stress coding :P
What I don't want to see is lore taking up space in the manual.
Lore is exactly what I DO want in a manual. Most games can be played without reading the manual, which is good because I suspect most people don't. Stats and information on mechanics are obviously important, and the more detail the better, but they don't exactly make for an interesting read.
How much memory does it actually use? I'm only running 2GB on XP...
Those Spiderlings looked pretty powerful! Nice trailer, I liked it.
Take Sins. I played the hell out of it, always Huge Random 9 AI FFA. Eventually.. it was all the same. Sure the maps were different, but there was nothing new to see. If I could enhance it by earning some bonuses from achievements, it would've lasted a lot longer.
Achievements that are a pat on the back for wasting your time collecting virtual bottle caps don't enhance anything, they just disguise shallow game
If achievements (Civ style) provide important or interesting information that is otherwise unavailable or easily missed, they are a good idea. Since they have been brought up, profile achievements are essentially pointless (though great for people who need shiny badges to feel special). If they provide an rpg metagame they can be a useful addition, however in a strategy title I want to start each game with a clean slate, and feel that my experience and improved skills are making
