Reply to sand golem in War of Magic

One, the thread hadn't been bumped for 6 days, it took you about 10 minutes to read it and type your message, and I happened to post in that window? I should have guessed. Also I said thread, not my post. (BTW it is your, not you're.) Two, I thought you had to kill the sovereign to win, not their city? At least, that is the case in my experience so far. Three, the two sand golems was a different game, like I stated in my post. And it is no longer

It is unfortunate these turn up at the start of pretty much every game. I might start selling them at the store, so that the start of the game isn't so incredibly easy. I started a game on challenging, and wiped out a major enemy faction on turn 12. In my most recent game I have wiped out 2 major factions using only my sovereign, spouse, 2 sand golems and some bandit archer I spawned in my city...

From another thread I was reading a while ago, I got the impression that it was actually practical to keep an up-to-date archived version of the game, in case impulse ever became unavailable. So basically from a future-proofing perspective, archiving isn't completely useless, it is just completely unwieldy because you have to remember to archive before you install, and completely impractical because you have to download the entire game again every time it patches. At least it

They probably assumed most people would try the campaign first, and it is quite useful when you are running around with one stack. Not so much so in sandbox mode...

I did receive the message telling me the barrier was removed, but when I arrived it hadn't been. There have been some other posts about it, seems like the bug was introduced in patch 1.05. Things have improved since then, and apart from some fertile land that doesn't like being built on (the farm vanishes after the first turn of building) I haven't run into any serious problems. I did consider conquering ALL the friendly factions, but decided against it as the rest of the

*Spoilers?* Well it seems some people are having some issues, I just thought I would tell the success story of my campaign so far. After dying to the spider (oh, equipment doesn't actually equip when you buy it... restart) I proceeded to New Pariden, and was told to eliminate some Darklings. After clearing the fishing village and then the encampment, I found that the barrier had not been removed as the ruler of New Pariden promised. Fortunately, I discovere

The archive for Elemental: War of Magic was not archived for this OS. This archive can only be restored on the OS it was originally created for. So is there some way to get around this? It seems like a pretty serious problem, if I archive in Steam I have no trouble transferring between OS.
If they Are that "rare" then getting one and being able to steam roll the map with it isn't really that big of a deal.
I disagree. It will feel like you have wasted your time and effort building a kingdom if you get "lucky" and stomp the map with a dragon. Unbalanced is not fun (well... it might be the first time) but I'm sure they fixed it for release anyway.
Now, one thing I think I can say (and I’m not promising this because all things are ultimately decided by the IT gods) but it is our plan to make the “gold” version of the game available a bit early to those in the beta and those who pre-order will also likely get it a bit early. We hope to start pre-loading Elemental onto machines early to mid next week to reduce strain.
Nooo I haven't had a chance to finish Ki
If the people you want to talk to are on Steam, being able to talk on Steam is going to be more valuable then being able to talk on Reactor.
Ahh but Tridus, you have forgotten that people who use Steam are beneath notice and certainly not worth talking to :P Much better to talk to yourself on Reactor.
Except Impulse::Reactor has the same features, and it doesn't require an unnecissary app running in the background.
Except my friends are on Steam, not Impulse, and running an app in the background doesn't worry me and I'm not sure why it should. Considering the size of my steam library, and the fact that when I try to buy Dragon Age on Impulse it tells me " Sorry, this item is not available in your region.</st

Fortunately Steam allows you to add non-Steam games, so you can still imagine you bought it there (minus the 10% off).

I bought my boxed version from Impulse because I assumed Stardock would make more money that way. Very rare for me to buy a game from a retail store these days.
