AWESOME news. Thanks for answering my question, Stardock! By the way, I don't expect an apology from the haters calling me a troll and asking that I be banned. You can pay me back in Gildar. [e digicons][/e]

I doubt your answer is accurate, Istari. The released that screenshot for a reason. I want an official answer on whether or not the promotional image Stardock used is an accurate representation of something they plan on making possible in the game. I see I'm upsetting you. Please remember you can leave this thread at any time. I'll keep waiting for an official answer from Stardock, not your interpretation of the matter.
Well, no. The answer has not been given. I've never played Total War, so that reference is lost on me. All I want to know if the dragon battle with the flying soldiers in chain mail will be possible in this game. If the scope of that battle is not currently possible, will it be possible in the future? Yes or no would suffice. Frogboy did say they were rushing to get multiplayer out because it's on the box. I just want reassurance that the dragon battl
Why does everyone get upset about my wanting a company to deliver a product as it was advertised? Is it too much to ask for an official answer? I really think it is a big problem when a company advertises a product and does not deliver on the advertisement. I feel I deserve an honest answer. If I see something on the box, I want to know if the product will be able to perform as shown. It's honest-business 101. Give me a DIRECT answer, and I'll stop asking t
I need an official answer. Are they working on delivering what's on the box, or not? I think it's a fair question.
All I need is confirmation that epic battles (such as the one pictured on the box) are being worked on.
When is the update for epic battles? Is it being worked on?
Can a dev please confirm this is being worked on? If not, my interest in the game is nil. I'm happy for those of you who like it for what it is, but I like it for what is was supposed to be.
It should be made, at the very least, optional. That they could put the image on the box after touting epic battles and not have them in the game is unthinkable. If that's the case, and Stardock have no plans of implementing battles of this scale, I think I deserve a FULL refund. Not partial. I entered an agreement with Stardock when purchasing this game, and if they are unable to live up to what was advertised, that's a serious problem. I wish we could get an of
That might be simpler, but what about those of us who bought the game because of the battle scene represented in this box design? It's not fair to consumers, and it should've been made explicitly clear if it was Stardock's intention to not implement this scale of battle. As it is, I feel very misled and don't know if I can trust Stardock to do the right thing. I initially withdrew my refund request because of Stardock's promise to make everything better, but if they have no
Wait, have the developers even commented on this? I've skimmed through this thread, but I can't believe what I'm reading. So, the soldier count from that picture isn't even possible with the game as sold?? How isn't that false advertisement? I bought the game specifically because that screenshot looked awesome! Have the devs said anything about an ETA for this scale of battle???
I'm down for this. :D
I posted a link to a reddit discussion of the book, but it was deleted. I don't think I broke any rules by posting it, so here it is again: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/d6mvk/so_stardock_ceo_brad_wardell_wrote_a_book_about_a/ I hope Stardock stops this massive cover-up they have going on...deleted threads, comments, etc.

Game crashed on me again. I can't get more than 40 turns in without a crash. :( I'll have the files uploaded soon.
Anyone willing to spare some? [e digicons][/e] On a serious note, how do I know how much Gildar my city has total? I see that it produces X per turn, but I was completely clueless for a while that I had enough money to build a farm as I did not know where to find the total.
My first time playing through the campaign, the game crashed about 40 turns in. It got down to about 1 frame per every 2 seconds, and then it crashed. :( Debug: http://filebin.ca/doredv/debug.err Crash thing: http://filebin.ca/vewzes/Elemental1_00-2010-08-23T16-23-17-120.zip Save: <a href="http://filebin.ca/ywqsrm/
I hope this doesn't get deleted (don't think I'm breaking any rules here), but buy.com has the Elemental Limited Edition for $58.99 with free shipping! http://www.buy.com/prod/elemental-war-of-magic-limited-edition-pc/q/loc/108/215183910.html Can anyone vouch for buy.com? Will they be getting Elemental the same time as other retailers?
Nice try.
Is he getting 40 - 50 fps on that laptop in the cloth map mode, or full game?
Why are you even on this forum? I watch this forum religiously because everything I've seen of Elemental makes it seem like the perfect game for me. I'm even skipping out on StarCraft II and Civilization V just to get it.
I have an Inspiron with a 2.13 Ghz processor, 4 Gb of RAM, and have Intel integrated video. Resolution is 1360 x 768 and I find it to be a little choppy with everything on high. But dial it down just a bit and it is good. The release should be even better.
That fills me with hope. If you can run it so well with Intel graphics, I should be able to run it rather decently. :)
