That is a core bug. Even sometimes in the main unmodded game you can be apparently given an item which turns out to be something else. Stardock would have to fix this bug for modders to be able to avoid it.

Is it possible to edit CoreRandomEvents.xml from the mods folder? There is a Random Event that gives out Wilbur, a hero, but it is actually Champion_Janusk with a different name. Is it possible to create a new Champion_Wilbur and then change the CoreRandomEvent from the mods folder so it gives out Champion_Wilbur rather than a renamed Champion_Janusk? I am only giving the ability for Quest Heroes to not divide experience, and Janusk can appear at a fame milestone. If

I have implemented a mod which includes everything in the I Need To Move mod, plus makes all Quest Champions, except Ascian and Quest Pack Alexandros, not divide experience when they are in the army with a hero that does divide experience. https://forums.elementalgame.com/447537
The fheroes2 mod for HOMMII has a Battle Only mode. It is a fun little mode when you decide what the two sides have in terms of troops and can battle against the AI where there is no Strategic Mode, just one battle. Even if you don't implement a full multiplayer mode because of constraints initially with WoM, a hotseat mode for full game and for Battle Only (or whatever you want to call it) would be a welcome inclusion and shouldn't require too much extra programming. &nbs

What are the names of the all the Quest heroes? There is Mausolos and Huhrus in base LH, and Alexandros in the Quest Pack, are there any others?
Actually, the only difference between champions and henchmen is that Henchmen have 0 and are trained units unlike Champions. However, it is possible to create Champions that have the same no divide capability. Basically, all units are similar, champions have 1 and 1 , Henchmen have those tags too but are trained, and some custom champions have the no divide capability. &

You get the choice (after the Butcherman kills the kind old lady) of giving the potion to the Butcherman to get a Butcherman pet, or leave him and get a potion that cures ALL injuries on one hero.
It is also -1 Growth and part of Death Magic, so Empire cities using it early won't be growing very fast (since they don't get Sovereign's Call).
If production is carrying over, but the number of seasons required is just using the amount if it was at the front of the queue, it would be possible for later queued buildings of the same type to have a half or quarter wasted season or something like that, and so require an extra one. This is my guess, that production is now carrying over but new building times are considered if they were at the front of the queue. Either that or it is a bug.
Saves save all XML data that applies to the game from when the game was started, including user content. It was made this way so they could release patches and not invalidate in-progress games.

I think you mean +1 Research per essence. The spell giving +1 Research per essence spell was removed because people beelined to it and then there was no challenge whatsoever. The +1 Materials per essence spell Arcane Forge still exists though, because it is not so game breaking.
I don't think the essence spells update until the next turn. I'm pretty sure they fixed the bugs with essence spells staying fixed when essence increases (or decreases).
I'm not sure if heroes are supposed to get XP even if they are defeated. I'm pretty sure that henchmen don't.
If you win the battle but lose your sovereign, I don't think you're meant to lose mana, but I also don't think you're meant to get XP on the unit that died.
