Wow I'm glad I decided to ask and didn't think I did that lol. I downloaded bonanza again and took a look at the folders, apparently none of them existed in my directory. I guess I just skipped that one without realizing. yeah it definitely fixed the problem in the one champ in my current game that displayed that way, I'm assuming it was probably the same thing with the others, thanks a lot for the reply

champions that are missing their icon graphics? I mean like the little circles that show a picture of them, and update to reflect when different armors are equipped, for some champions it is just a white circle or blank, probably some other units too I dont really recall. I'm curious if that's just a limitation on some of the custom units or some sort of bug on my end?
alrigh fair enough, I'll just ignore creating CoS race factions with exception of lizardmen or centaurs
Ehh i keep finding things I want to know about, hopefully this is it for a while lol...noticed in faction creator there's a note on those races "CoS created factions NOT supported" or something like that. so, cannot create custom faction from a children of the storm race? I did try looking to the user guide to see if its mentioned or what specific problems maybe, but I couldn't find anything on it...
Basically, some resources/monsterlairs/treasuresites might not spawn because of of the additional champion camps. If you generally play w/ Few/Sparse settings that wouldn't really affect you. If you use Dense+, then it's likely to affect you a little to a lot, depending on other variables. Also, if I remember right, champion camps are generated following the number of factions on the map, say something along the lin
so I can enable champion camps per the instructions, and as long as I recruit them one tile outside the camps, there is no issues with it at all? what do you mean by the spawn rate/conflict? Because I don't like the sound of that if it interfers with settings of spawning the monsters on a random map.... ah also lest i forget to mention, thanks for this because this mod is AWESOME. finally had some time to get into it today and been playing the heck out of LH
Hey thanks much. Rusty on the details even for vanilla version, just haven't played in a long while. So, personal preference, do you guys tend to remove certain mods for any reason? I've noticed in the user manual it tells you XtraDeconstruct is preloaded with even more mods and how to remove them. I'm leaving everything intact for now.
Thanks friend, it seems like you basically have answered all my questions! EDIT: Okay I have installed all mods, I am wondering if there is something wrong with the text possibly, although it could be fine and just the nature of the mod. The races are all named as things like Lizardmen #K, Elves #E which is odd and traits like 'Is Female' 'Is Humanoid' and tooltip for those show no description just want to make sure because there is a few steps, but I hav
Going to try to streamline my question, plz help looking for recommendation how to play this mod because I noticed it's compatible with a number of others Is it recommended to play with the three others that they made compatible for? I am especially interested to include Children of The Storm for the high fantasy replacement to boring vanilla races, something I've always wanted. But is there a problem with any of these because they have not been updated?
okay thats what i thought, thanks..... it looks like what race you make the custom faction just gives the appropriate "Blood" effect, in addition to train henchman (if altarian), train golem (if ironeer), train slaves (if quendar) or train juggernaut (if trog)
in the manual, for example, it says for Magnar "Quendar Blood" (units strong vs fire weak vs ice) and "Train Slaves", are these the only effects the race selection will have on your custom faction/soveriegn? what are the effects you get from mancer and urxen races?
i was getting by just fine playing older games or those with little system requirements on my crappy emachines with integrated video, LOL, butno hopes of running this game with that processor i guess???? the game is just too much of a crappy framerrate i cant enjoy it, so i was gonna upgrade a little and get my hands on a decent little video card, but am i correct in assuming that its not gonna help because my CPU sucks???? if thats the case i'll just h
ive been out of the loop for a long time now, i see the BETA has automatically been added to my account.....does this turn into the full release version later today or something?
anyone still with that slowdown/city thing getting a break now? i still think i'm gonna wait until at least 1.1 to give it a whirl. i noticed there were some fixes for us win7 64-bit users, maybe we were the ones suffering from the performance issue mostly?
i see yet another update to 1.08, what's that one all about?
although the performance is pretty horrible for such simple graphics, it's now been tweaked enough that I can actually play, so I'm starting to get into more aspects of the game, I'm still a little confused about food, one game I just quit because I was stuck forever at no food when it suddenly disappeared, and I didn't see a way to get more. and I've yet to gain any diplo capital, dont know how that works. but im wondering if this is a bug, I hired a hero (raline the weaver) and it's
Well i think performance does seem better overall with 1.08 but will continue to need tweaked.
i agree, managed to get a few minutes of play time in with a previously saved game, and that's my overall impression.
so whats the deal with the 1.08 update, followed by another update, 1.08b? probably nothing, just another part to the patch, i guess?
thought i read something about all the "technical issues fixed" with 1.08 update, so plz start posting if anyone's noticed the performance issue has finally been fixed! between work and moving, not sure when i'll get a chance to play enough to test it myself
Does 1.08 tackle this issue specifically or is it more of a generic performance boost? Maybe a better question, does "this issue" (Win7x64 w/ ATI cards) really exist or is it part of some more generic problem?
its definitely less specific than than, I have a Nvidia gtx 460, and I think i've heard plenty of people who still have the problem without win7 and/or 64 bit OS
I'm still waiting for my 100% refund. Elemental came out ~2.5 weeks ago. I've been dealing with support for a week.
you've gotta be kidding, that difficult to get a refund when they know d**n well whats wrong with the product? i'm fed up, i'm going to try and refund mine i think, how do you go about doing that? wouldn't doubt if I asked for credit to buy something else on impulse, all the sudden it would be a diff
well, i dont know how well each of these do their part, but I downloaded 1.07, disabled outlines, and use hardware cursor, so now there is definitely a nice boost in performance. I guess its playable, but now I'm hooked on AoW with that BNW mod, had to move to something else after the bad first experience with elemental.
I am 100% certain my game has not experienced any slow down from cities. I do experience the end turn taking longer later in the game though.
strange, well, i can tell you i never thought of it as "slowdown from cities", but apparently that's what causes it. Building more cities adds things to the game, and it can't handle it and everything slows down. I mean, if I zoom in on a town, everything looks and moves fine (little build
i will agree, and i don't see how anyone can think differently who is experiencing this problem, the 10-20 FPS is just an improvement. I dont know why but i sometimes get the feeling that everyone has this problem, at least to a degree, and their just being too optimistic about it or trying to shrug it off. idk, to think what i see on my screen is actually running perfect on some other computers for no reason at all just boggles the mind. especially when the diagnosis (again, i really
