With Auto-Select Next Unit off, the game will still re-focus the camera on either the currently selected battlegroup OR, if (at least) one exists, the first battlegroup that is not set to Guard but also does not have pending move orders.
I haven't noticed the second part. For the first part, is there a reason one wouldn't want to unselect a unit to avoid the camera focusing on them?
A lot if not most of these are fairly OP though in certain situations. I already mentioned the accuracy buff as one of the leading reasons archers are considered OP. Why give a unit the accuracy trait if it already starts with a +20 bonus? Also horses give 25 ranged dodge and wargs 15, building from a fortress effectively removes the counter to archers. On high essence cities the bonus from enchantments can get pretty ridiculous, +4 initiati

You are really alone on that opinion. The poster above you agrees with me, and AoW has been brought up on these forums by many other people in the past as a shining example of where Elemental could aim for. Gamerankings.com also has Shadow Magic at 83.59%, slightly above the base game, while metacritic has it a 82% with a user score of 9.0. It's an amazing game, and you are the first person I have ever seen attack it. You are welcome to your opinion, I'm not going to try to change you

Ya this has been reported, and definitely needs to be fixed. Those levels are technically reachable without adjusting the exp. Huge map, epic speed, over a thousand turns to grind exp, people could likely get there.
This problem is still present in .75. Unlike the scenario I gave in a previous post on how to recreate the problem, this time I saw it without loading a game from within a game.
That looks like an early game, did you use Ctrl-N at all to get a decent start? I know that also causes it, it's basically doing the same thing that makes reloading cause it. They don't clear everything from memory when you Ctrl-N

Number one can be turned off in the options. It's auto-select next unit or whatever. I didn't see a way to turn it off in tactical, but it wont move the camera if the unit is in view. So if I'm using ranged units I'm sort of forced to zoom way out so I can see my units and the enemy units on the screen at the same time, that way I can keep the camera in place focused on the center. This could definitely use some work.
I agree that charge and impulsive need to be removed as fortress bonuses. In general fortresses should be producing units quickly and cheaply, not producing super invincible units. Among other things this is too hard on the AI, and human abuse of this is what is killing the AI.
I think every tier of fortress bonuses should be about strengthening trained troops, I think that mechanic is awesome. Don't remove it because th
this thread not about how to find unrest value damnit... it will be perfectly fine to see unrest level and how it effect town stats right at TS described location just above gildar at resource section
There's no point. It's already in an even easier to find place, one that saves you a mouse click and camera jump across the map. I mean most people click the city on the tree

Defenders and assassins are not worthless they can both be made unkillable fairly easily. Defenders can get a massive amount of health, especially ironeers, and reduce damage from most troops to pretty much nothing. Assassins never get hit, period, make it a wraith and they can solo the map on auto-resolve. A level 20ish defender with a lightning hammer can actually put out some OK damage, with other good gear they can do like 50 damage per hit, which can outright kill a lot of the cr

LH huge map with 12 factions and the new shadows on, runs better for me than FE large map with 8 factions and no shadows. I turned the cloth map off and the only time the game slows down is when I zoom way out. Noticed no difference in performance with 0.75.

You can set your own color, and AI colors, just create custom factions and leaders with whatever colors you want.

If by "I have looked to do this" you meant modding, there are some values in CoreAIDefs.xml under "RELEATIONS" (sic) you can change to mostly do what you are asking. Set the values for opposite alignments (early, mid and late game) to like -30 and everyone on opposite alignments will always completely hate each other. It wont be war 100% of the time, they will occasionally ask for peace, but they'll declare war again a few turns later, and there will be no chance for any sort of treaties

At this point most of the AIs I fight against are custom, capable of building all my of cheesy min-max OP units, but I almost never see them do so. When they do, they ruin them, with armor "upgrades" and by building them in random towns with no training bonuses. [e digicons]:([/e]

I have noticed the pillars appearing to turn on and off randomly. I haven't been paying much attention, but sometimes I notice them suddenly turn on (often 2-3 at the same time) and realize they hadn't been on before.

I posted this debug.err in another thread, but it was from the game that screen was taken in, and here's the save as well. It's from many turns later so I don't know if it will help, I think Delin is still alive though. http://sites.google.com/site/insanati/debug.err http://sites.google.com/site/insanati/wolves.EleSav</

In my current game Tarth keeps declaring war on me, sending weak armies into my borders to just stand there and do nothing (my defenses are likely way to0 strong), when I kill a couple of them she asks for peace, then 1-3 turns later she's all "Your actions speak louder than words. Prepare to die" and declares war again. Edit: Make that 0-3 turns. She just asked for peace, I accepted, and as soon as that window closed another window opened which was her declaring war. So I went fr
it's nice to see that you can make archers useful by stacking some racials and traits in your favor, but that doesn't mean that bows are on par in the current system. you don't need specific racial picks to make decent melee units. if you don't stack the whole faction to make it an archer faction, you get a 7 attack shortbow with -8 initiative. with wargs and "fast" and +2 or 3 init from an essence fortress they barely make i
Except if you designed designed mounted swordsmen the same way they would have something like 8 more initiative and quickly close the gap and murder those archers. Same thing that happens when your own influence covers a lair is happening to all the lairs in a wildland. They turn into a goodie hut and anything attached to them wanders around "homeless." At the map initiation those lairs do come with a monster, but after that I don't believe anything spawns from them, instead they just spawn anywhere in the influence area. It's always been like that. The obsidian golems are a special case, they don't actually wander at first, they sta

Godlike? Not really. I just started a new game, not very far in, made a beeline for bows and wargs. Picked Amarians (no fire shards yet >.<), archers, quick, lucky, enchanters and rebels. Very early fort is now creating warg riding archers with 26 init and 17 (19?) attack x3, no metal cost, no crystal cost, just the weak bow, a couple pieces of leather so as not to encumber, and the +15 weight +1 atk, +2 init, and +3 attack vs lower init traits. Groups of 3 are hitting for close to 50 d
