There was another thread about this where they said the system was working as intended. It's a little silly, but you just have to connect the wonder to the tech in your head instead of to completing the building to realize it's not really that different than other games. Basically they are tech based wonders rather than special construction projects.

The AI doesn't do any thinking at all when it comes to diplomacy. Everything is based off a few simple weighting values in that CoreAIDefs.xml, if you scroll down you'll see values for things like early game, late game, stronger than you, opposite faction, etc. There's a lot of derp in these values, multiple stacking values for the same thing, huge hits attached to the wrong buildings (building a Tower of the Witch is a -9 hit), and basically an overwhelmingly large emphasis on ga
I haven't had a chance to play 0.80 yet but don't you need to add a special trait to your units so they can equip chain/plate now? They can't upgrade out of leather if they don't meet the requirements to equip chain. Sounds like this change completely kills the armor upgrade option, not that it wasn't terrible beforehand anyway.
I think the real issue is how damage vs armor scales. Basically as I under stand it a units attack damage is attack value (weapon + any bonuses) times number of models in the unit. So a unit of 3 armed with spears (attack 6 I think?) does 18 damage a hit (modified by some random factor I don't really under stand.) Meanwhile a units defense is simple the defense of any member of the group, so a unit wearing all leather has a defense of lik
Are you at war with the faction that owns the outpost? Maybe whoever captured it from you lost it to a third party you aren't at war with?
I just think they need like a Masterwork Leather set, researched in the late/middle of the warfare tree, then Champion Leather and Champion Chain in the magic tree, same tech as Champion Plate. Also unlink Masterwork Chain and Light Plate from traits. For starters anyway. Then maybe later they could add some more flavorful armor types unique to certain races, one per maybe, still found in the tech tree though.
Usually I see it spawn on like a 4/3/0, which makes it 7/6/3, which isn't any better considering there's nothing useful to build in the city. I don't think it can ever spawn on a tile with essence since I don't remember ever seeing resources spawn inside that wildland. Somehow it spawned on a 0 yield tile for you (did you change minimum yield values in the xml to like 8?), honestly I don't see that making a difference and I'm not sure it's a bug.
That's possible, I turned cloud syncing off pretty much right after installing the game.
So, if you have a negative GPT and offer tribute to 11 AIs, does that bump you up into positive GPT? [e digicons]:erk:[/e]
I've never had that problem. Did you load a save where that race existed? Stuff like that is "baked" into the save files, so maybe it's recreating from there.
Always thought that was just part of the advantage of those sov or special champion traits. Doesn't really seem OP to me.
Curious as to how you got a champion to level 58. I know some of them started dual classed in 0.75 and earlier, if you max out one tree does it let you start putting points in the other? I know there's no way to manually switch trees to the second (or third, or fifth) class before that. Usually they run out of traits in the 40s and that breaks your game. Anyway I agree with the tech thing. I haven't had a game get that far, but it definitely seems once you do most strategies j
I saw somebody report a champion getting cracked skull and dying, not sure if the two were related. They didn't get knocked out or escape, they just died and stayed dead. It sounds like a bug, but maybe if they hit -1 exp they disappear.
Rivers weren't in E:wom. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
WoM beta 1 had rivers, they were removed in beta 2 because they were "ugly" and needed work. They never put them back in. I thought they looked fine in the screenshots, apart from the same issues rivers have to this day.
When WoM came out I had really wanted a system that worked similar to the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War, or King Arthur games. Just like what you are asking for, with the hero attaching to a squad of units and leading them into battle, or having their own custom squad of units. At this point though I think heroes have come far enough where they don't really need that kind of system IMO, they could use a few tweaks sure, but nothing so drastic, at least not for all of them. I think it would be
Isn't it possible to add your own stats and have them do whatever you want? There's a magic mod for FE that adds a whole bunch of elemental affinity and shard synergy stats. I don't know how it's done or if that's a special situation though.
I didn't notice it reducing future exp gain at all. I thought it was literally just a one time subtraction of 10 exp points.
You are aware I agreed with you in my first post right?
This could definitely use some work.
Ya, I'm the troll. Every time I try to post bug/flaw workarounds so people can attempt to enjoy the game while waiting for them to be fixed, you jump in with an off-topic attack because I didn't simply agree with them. You have issues.
Ya the tower thing is annoying, I never play with spell of making victory on. In the meantime you can avoid it by just not building the tower of the witch, that's the only one with a diplomacy hit, I reported that a while ago. You can even build it and all the others, build the forge, then destroy the tower of the witch to get rid of the hit. The AI doesn't understand this though, they all eventually build the 4 towers, so they all eventually hate each other and go to war semi-permane
Ya sorry, was the only save I had of that game, and like I said it was many turns later and I wasn't aware of Delin's current position. I didn't know what kind of debug logs may have been contained in there or not so figured I'd post it anyway. If I see it again I'll remember to save that turn and upload it (instead of just taking a screenshot).
Did they change paragon then? I remember in FE it just looked at their level and gave them as much exp as needed to go up one level, but then that granted exp was modified by exp bonuses so you could actually go up a couple levels with one cast. I also don't think the -5 HP stacked, I think you got it the first time then all future casts only had the mana cost, if that was fixed I'm curious what happens when you cast it with only 1 hp (if you can). Edit: Ah, gue
Yes this system is silly. If they have like 50+ of a resource they simply do not want any more, regardless of how quickly they use it or whether they have their own source or not. Even more ridiculous is you can sell them 1000 of a resource at full price as long as you do it all at once while they have none. I imagine it's easily exploitable, say an AI has a lot of money, but have ~200 of a resource you yourself have a lot of extras in, buy their 200 for cheap, now they have none, sell th
Lol Gamerankings and Metacritic? you actually BELIEVE those scores? lmao The reviewers have been sooooooo WRONG on sooooooooo many games it's hilarious. Well I see where you "mentality" is now well below "intelligent" when you start spouting and BELIEVING scores from those websites. Also "everyone" here does NOT agree with you because I have seen others who don't like AOW:SM so don't try to use false information to bolst
Ok, this is getting old. I don't know what your problem is with me, but don't tell me to learn to read and then utterly fail at it yourself. "Second" means number two (2). It comes after number one (1), aka first. You see how you highlight half of that "sentence?" The part you highlighted is the second half. Are you following so far? That is the "second part" I said I haven't noticed happening.
