Fantastic post. I am sometimes frustrated that there are changes being made to a game without ever considering its impact on gameplay .. I am not big fun of slow leveling of heroes in general, though i found abusive strategy to boost them past level 40 anyway

Continue: Big time abuse - blood curse + paragon - you boost well hp of your sov and then you start to cast paragon non-stop; with good mana income lvl/round for one of your heroes also if your sov is melee and you sacrifice 3-4 cities you can hit easily over 500 hp ... Errors - city with a outpost right in its middle, outpost cannot be destroyed - AI can stack enchantments on its cities ...
Problem is i visited all, took everything, killed everything and still ...

Serious Bug Here i provide a link before a battle with Dali, one of the big bosses. Here, however, he is in a stack of 15 units ! During the battle he does not appear at all, only 9 of his units, but at the end of the battle he is dead - which make things kind of easy. Another curiosity, already reported, if he attacks you the loot is lost, but if i attack loot is gained (message about loot appears, but items do not). Next battle with a dragon shows the same pattern regarding loot. Yo
To be honest even before AI build it i could not build a city there ... It was a kind of very good location and when i had my first pioneer i was checking all the spots and this one was not available .....
I have an impression that AI is not bound by the same rules, they build the city where i cannot, that is without any food available. I have some cases where i razed a city and could not rebuild it at the very same spot ...
In one game though i have seen big army of earth elemental killing ai troops and destroying city (he tried to build like 4 of them in the same spot ...)

There is some confusion around dodge. Every time attack is not successful the message 'dodge' is shown. This is a case also if enemy has no dodge or a cast removing its dodge has been cast. It leads to confusion ... I agree that sometimes it is somewhat annoying. I have cast in the past 'Tremor' which removes all dodge - and the description leads you to believe that all of your hits will land. Then you go to fight and they dodge all the time, and your reaction is like Whaaat??? Spell is broken !!!
I find it the same way - right now magic is the best way to go, especially custom made it sov. However, i was always dreaming about huge armies, but costs are preventing it, which is kind of sad - in the end i am forced to use stack of doom. Troops are too slow to get and way too expensive.
Hot-keys or favorite bar for spells in tactical combat would be nice too.
- if hero is not at the top of stack army is treated as without hero - cannot pick up treasures or have quests; - problems with health bars and damage is still there, guys seriously either damage or bar were always wrong since war of magic - how many years you need to fix it??? - AI wants to cross my territory - i have to ask them EVERY turn to leave ...
I have some problems recently to lower land. I takes me like over 10 casts to make a passage of two tiles through the mountains. Furthermore, when the land goes down, right before it is finally levelled, it goes up instead of being lowered and then next cast puts it down. I think it has something to do with negative values ... Very annoying to spend over 500 mana for that ....
furthermore, if meanwhile a new monster re-spawns you can end up on the same tile as monster and a loot simple solution: if you are far away click on a tile beside monster and then attack only if you have sufficient movement points (i hate going back and forth to pick up loot)

how about opening the equip window instead ? exactly, you should be open the equip window from a pick up loot message box: if you have more than one hero in a army it is a real pain. Especially at late game when you have like 3 pop up loot windows at the beginning of a turn and once they are dismissed you have to manually find each army and check the item
4) it happens when you attempt to attack a creature, but you run out of movement point, so when turn is ended you have a lair where is creature set as destination. Next turn creature attacks you and then you magically appear in lair without loosing movement point nor being able to pick up an item. Moreover, if meanwhile (at the end of turn) a new monster is spawned at lair you will end up at the same tile as the new monster is ...

Balance I though the game is supposed to be about choice .... Right now to have cities bigger then 2 lvl i have to research agriculture paths, if i do not do it then i am very early stacked on city limit. It basically encourages again a total city spam. It is very annoying if you play Magnar and when you win battles or raze cities your population grows just for a turn, and then it is a back to limit. Recently i have 130 population after razing a city and winning a battle
