I have to admit, I have not opened EWoM for several months. Waiting for 1.2 or even 1.3 before I delve back into it, so the news of what's coming is making me look forward to it even more.

Defintely huge maps. Always have and always will.
Even with a working mouse I have found smoe areas of maps worse than others. For instance in the large maps most of it works fine, but the easern edge is frustrating to get the cursor to identify the right tile. It is most noticeable in the large map with the roads in it.

Can you make it adjust to fast moving troops if it ever encounters them and be more defensive? I seem to be able to walk all over the AI with a squad of champions kitted out and moving at 9.
Yeah it's better than it used to be when they fixed the mounted melee animation, but the mounted archers are still quite annoying, especially in big battles.
I'm up to 35 Vaenia's in my game now. Who needs gold mines?
I really think that duplicate champions should be avoided if possible. It really cheapens the pleasure of hiring Rilis or Nabaja when you end up getting 4 of them. Also I keep getting Vaenia offering to join my empire for free, and I mean heaps of them. In my current game I am up to 14 Vaenia's recruited. I suspect the monster spawn fix may have caused this.
I was in tactical combat with a bear 17 life 6 atk 2 def and my sovereign 15 life 14 atk and 4 def. Auto resolve in tactical combat ended up with my sovereign dead and no life taken from the bear. I suspect shenanigans.

In that vein then another solution would be instead of having all or nothing monster tiers is just have certain spawn chances based on general tech level. E.g at the start of the game T1 100% And say 100 turns of research might be T1 60% T2 35% T3 5%
Some great work has been going on in the flurry of patches, and it is well done. One of the changes has been to spread the monst levels off the combined average of adventures techs researched. I can certainly see the reasons behind it, but it is pretty much assuring any large game has no monster depth at all. Going to put this one up again, Destiny's Tutor quest is still broken. Nothing happens when you visit the first spawn location, and also Sagog's egg quest didn't result in the dragon in 1.09t (haven't had a chance to get that far in 1.09u yet). Also I don't appear to be getting any late game monsters at a fairly late stage of the game when I have maxed quest tech. Does it hinge of the exploration tech or turn counter or what?
Just did 1.09u and again it was 1.9gb. I'm now runnign at 10gb for the month on just elemental alone.
Any sign of a Destiny's Tutor quest fix? Every time I do the quest, I go to the spawned quest location and nothing happens and no response at the goodie hut that gave the quest. It's the only thing I got to complain about at the moment :)
You guys are simply awesome at this update schedule, but I can't even finish a game between the updates!
I have the same issue. Fresh digital download from 1.01 or whatever it was a few days before launch and every single update. I think 1.09n was a 2 gig for me then 1.09o was 30 meg and now back to the 2 gig patches for the last 3. Each time it has said update available and I have simply right clicked and update; afterwards it displayed recently updated.
There is a tactical combat bug at the moment that lets you move and attack with melee and hen gain additional action points. Say you have 1-2 action points left and you click on an enemy 2 spaces away your unit will move and instead of stopping will attack and will still be left with remaining action points allowing for chains of attacks. Also I don't know if it's just me, but combat loot seems fairly low for mid range creatures like trolls.
Mounted melee animation is much better, and mounted archer animation has improved, but there still seems to be a second or so delay after completion to being able to click. Thanks. PS. Oh and more quests please :)
With level 5 I started getting some darking warriors and baby skath, but it took quite some time.
