Heavenfall: Making the game how it should've been made in the first place.

It's considerably less viable with regular champions. Even so.. way of the warrior is considerably better as you can obtain finesse, brute and double attack. Way of assassin just boosts accuracy (unneeded) and critical hit (unreliable).
Oh, yeah, assassin sucks. Just saying
Hmm, with cities like that, do you get like a... Super fast path or something? So you can travel about eight tiles in a single turn?
City Specialisation : Currently very bad. The "you generate X when you're not building something" improvements are the worst. They need to remove maintenance from all buildings (unless you can switch them off and on and even THEN only big ones) and nerf gildar gain, or allow you to assign cities to generate specific resources (research / gildar / population) when production goes off. One Megalopolis vs Many Smaller Cities : Yep, it's all about t
Ahem, thanks for the feedback. I can assure you that the AI does, in fact, know how to play the game. If you want to participate in the beta, I would ask you to try to behave in a civil manner. This is a beta, we're looking for feedback and suggestions -- not abuse. If you are looking for a complete AI, I suggest a completed game.

You speak English better tha
There is some good stuff here. Shards and magic in general could be a bit more interesting. Good thing there is a little time before the game launches.
Thankyeh. To be honest, it's not even that big of a project.
I think the Shards are too random. Create an Air Mage? Earth and Fire Shards next to your city.. Maybe there should be Lesser and Greater Shards.
No one agrees with this?
+1 to removal.
I think the monsters should build their own little civilization, to be honest. Especially the argyl or whatever it's called. Troll civ marching out and attacking me? Awesomesauce.
Quoting Sarudak, reply 9I think what you don't like about it is the very thing that makes it an interesting mechanic that forces difficult decisions... It is very much not this. Once you get into the midgame, you have functionally infinite mana for tactical spells unless you're wasting mana on the (useless) overpriced strategic level spells.
Yeah, the system is just... Awkward. [quote who="taltamir" reply
Shards still bore the hell out of me, as they sit as another standard resource. From my suggestion two years ago:-
Shards Shards are, currently, rather pathetic. I'm guessing there won't be one of each of them as there was in the last build, because that was just silly and there appear to be magics for multiple shards in the current version. They shouldn't be just another f
Definitely.
I just feel that the current mana system just encourages sitting around on your arse, waiting for mana to get back up (or waiting for it to get to a high level) and then running around devastating stuff. With a max cap on mana and a much, MUCH faster mana regen, it might be alright, but the fact that I cast a single tactical AoE spell and have to wait a turn to cast another...? Not so good.
Yet to see it myself. Should definitely be able to use magic or something, though. :D
Anyone else feel this way? It just feels like the mana system is... Bad. Like, really, really bad.
Winter is a season, not a place.
Just a little suggestion... Why not let monsters level up, with relevant bonuses? That troll shaman just kicked your sovereign's arse, so give him a level up, a mage class and the ability to beat up your sovereign even more later on! It'd mean you'd have to actually prioritise taking bigger monsters down, instead of letting them wander, devour your caravans and conquer your cities.
Yeah, there's also the fact that my sovereign can solo literally anything 1v1. If he'd get beat in auto-resolve (which is unlikely but DOES happen), I can instead just abuse initiative and bow mechanics to kill off everything (even armies).
Just wondering if this is a possibility or if we've had any indication of it being a possibility. Would love a forest-orientated faction.
I actually disagree. Magic should be an edge, not the be all and end all of the game. If I can't take out a sovereign with mundane troops then something has went wrong in the balancing somewhere. MoM and Dominions did have good magic systems, but that's all they had. Dominions is seriously sub-par in the economic and general empire building stakes, and while MoM managed to retain useful mundane units this was largely down to the shortcoming
Dear ignorant, you don't start as a God, so keep your wet fantasies for yourself. You start as a Channeler with the potential to wield powerful spells... when you have the power, resources and research to do so. Also, you must have decided to ignore on purpose the fact that they are working on the magic system right now but that it cannot be fixed in 3.8 nanoseconds. But as you seem to know so much, why don't you do it yourself? I
You are a channeler. You are the lord and master of the pure magical elements. Fire to melt a man's flesh off his bones. Water to call tsunamis and level cities. Earth to crack the land and send armies tumbling into great crevasses. Air to summon tornadoes to tear apart cities and show your domination over the skies. You are near godhood. You can take on entire armies by yourself, smash titans back into the ground, slaughter the Fallen like lambs... Or you know, walk around cas
After reading this post (https://forums.elementalgame.com/390276) i decided to make a new cityset. If you have some set or already working on please post some picture. We can inspire each other My first will be a set for northern kingdoms. Kingdoms with winter terrain. But it will follow the kingdom techtree. So i only want an otherlooking cityset.
