As I patiently wait for Beta 2/more music/a reply from the devs regarding the music, I would like to share one of my favorite Mason Fisher songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSwsEcp3Or4 (from Age of Wonders 2). For those of you who don't know, Mason Fisher is reportedly the composer for Elemental. :)

I asked about Elemental's music in a previous topic ( https://forums.elementalgame.com/380915 ), in which BoogieBac mentioned that the new videos would contain additional samples of the game's soundtrack. I know Brad has recently posted a bunch of new videos, but most (if not all) of them contained little to no music. Are the videos BoogieBac mentioned still planned? If not, would it be possible to post some sample
Q: I’ve heard there are no flying units in the game. A: There are flying units in the game. However, there aren’t flying armies in the game (i.e. there are creatures and animals that fly, but we do not plan to have flying mounted units in – at least at release. We can discuss with players – after they have the game – what practical means they could envision flying around.
I'm
Plastic, Metal, Leather >>> Paper I wasn't aware that the GalCivII CE case was metal. It's strange then that Stardock went back to paper for Demigod.
"Combat itself is simple, which is fine, given the complexity of the rest of the game." Was the author shown a build with or without tactical battles (I assume the latter)?
Oh yeah, that's a big one! Othello, I didn't realize you had altered the image (I thought you were seeing the picture exactly as you posted it). As kyogre12 mentioned, what you pointed out is intentional.
I'd also like to mention that there is a typo under the "Key Features" section of the "Gameplay" page. The eighth bullet under "Key Features" reads the following: "span single player sandbox mode."

But in my opinion the Elemental LE seems worth it, considering that it includes the soundtrack (I'm a computer game soundtrack junkie), which itself can be valued between 10 to 15 dollars. Besides that, you also ge
Seconded! Screenshots seem to indicate it will be made out of plastic.
Can you share the screenshots you are referring to? Btw, the boxart from the Preorder page was recently updated (the "Games for Windows" logo is no longer visible). GalCiv2's retail box was made out of paper, and although I never got Demigod, the pics I found online (<a href="http://cache.g4tv.com/ImageDb3/
Yes, I agree with you that the inside case (the one containing the DVD) should be a hard case. But as you know I also feel that the outer case should be durable/not made out of paper. Just curious, was the Demigod LE outer case made out of plastic or paper?

Like all of you I am eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of Beta 2. Also, like many of you, I have pre-ordered the Limited Edition and am really excited about all the extra goodies that are to be included. I grew up on PC Gaming of the late 80s and early 90s where it wasn't unusual for the package to come with a nice, hefty manual or a sprawling cloth map depicting the gameworld. Nowadays it's a rare treat to see even a detailed, printe
Beta 2 is being made for every gamer who has felt like PC gaming has become merely a commodity of stale ideas and mass production concepts. We thank you.
[e digicons][/e] Not just PC Gaming, but Gaming in general. I am VERY excited for Beta 2!
Thanks for the answers Brad! I guess the only remaining question is this: WHEN will we get Beta 2??? [e digicons][/e]
And where do I sign up?
I hope Frogboy doesn't get mad for posting this. Please see http://www.saveourseeker.com/ for more information about the LoTS Season 3 campaign.
That sounds great - thanks for the clarification guys!
I was looking over Frogboy's updated beta schedule ( https://forums.elementalgame.com/363845 ) and noticed the section on copy-protection. According to the post, retail editions will not require any verification. Does the Limited Edition Pre-order (Download+Limited Edition Box) qualify as a Retail Edition? I know the "Download" part is obviously a Digital Copy, but what about the disc that will be included in
Join the fan campaign to keep it on the air...
I signed the petition and joined the Facebook group. Hopefully Disney will re-evaluate its decision to cancel one of the only decent fantasy shows out there. (Btw, sorry for going off-topic... back to Elemental!)
A few questions: 1) How long is Beta 2 expected to last (now that it's not merely a Multiplayer test)? 2) Will Beta 2 include a Tutorial mode, or is that technically a part of the Campaign? 3) Will said Campaign be available in any of the Betas, or only in the final release? Thanks!
Thanks for the news Brad! This really brightens my day, especially after finding out last night that Legend of the Seeker was cancelled.
Wow I feel like an idiot: I just needed to enable the appropriate plug-in. Is there any way to delete this entire post? Edit: Now that I've finally seen the video, I must say the artwork continues to amaze me. If the 3D engine can do it justice, I think we're all in for a great visual treat :)
I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this, but the first video on Elemental's media site ( https://www.elementalgame.com/media ) doesn't seem to be working. I see the second video ("Elemental War of Magic PAX 09 Reveal Interview HD"), but the first video is just a blank box with a little red X on the top left corner. Are other people seeing this as well?
Thanks for answering Brad! You responded before I even got the chance to add an addendum to my original post! :)
