I have a bug, or something, where the pre combat trait Mass Curse ( is it called mass curse ? ) just locks down tacticla combat. I can auto progress but nothing else. I assume this is at the moment WAD; I really don't think its good for gameplay when you can have a lot of movement increasing gear equipped ( game seems to check for +move at beginning of turn ) , move to where you want to go, equip your combat gear, fight, and lastly change back into movement gear to get full move next turn. If its a question of "1 turn is 6 months long" ,sure it works, logically, at least if you have a limit on carrying capacity. Personally though, i feel it

After razing a city where unit/s is/are stationed the unit is invisible, in the sense hat it seems o have no graphic loaded for it, it exists in every other way, i assume its becaus of how the game graphically ttreats units in cities...

Personally I feel that the abiliy to skirmish , harass and guerilla your enemy to death is all very viable and interesting tactics combined with the greater armies providing control and siege abilities.
