Also, is that build 4A? Like, the one I'll be playing next week?

Whatever you're paying them, double it. Hell, just give them a cut. They deserve it. All of them.
While Fallen Enchantress will be available on Steam, it won’t require it. The best way to handle it IMHO.
As long as updates come at the same time for both groups...
Also, I like Steam so much - AND I want to support you guys as much as possible - I will be buying this game again on Steam. I have some disposable income and I genuinely love what you've done here. Plus, I like to keep my games in one basket, so to speak. I know you said "don't ask", but I'm still curious... Also, will beta updates occur on the same day on Steam as they do to the rest of us?
I'm with the majority here and believe that dropping Elemental is a good idea. It can be the Elemental universe, but giving the game an Elemental title, I'm afraid, will give the game a negative association right out the gate. Best start over with FE. Also, Steam is such a freaking good idea, I can't even begin to describe my excitement. AWESOME JOB. Check out the Beta 4 impressions thread for the best ideas, in my opinion. So next Thursday is exciting
Save integrity? Yeah, I don't THINK it should go to gold yet, I just think that it's in a much better place than the game that actually did. But god, this game is getting to be so good.
I know that there is still some work to be done with Beta 4 - check out the Beta 4 impressions thread for a dozen issues that should be dealt with - but I now genuinely feel like we're in the home stretch. I know that a fifth beta is expected (confirmed?), so what are we to expect with it? Although I know you won't - and I'd probably still advise against it - I honestly think FE in its current state is releasable. It's light-years beyond WoM and for the first tim
Quoting DevildogFF, reply 103Quoting mastroego, reply 98 I've only seen Brad say that once and I was simply offering a suggestion. No need to get defensive on someone else's behalf. It wasn't necessarily a helpful post as much as it was someone complaining generically about a couple parts. I don't know why he doesn't like those parts, he just says "I don't like X or Y". And asking about modding tool
Go into the sfx directory and click on FemAdv1_CrazyDeath1 and FemADv1_CrazyDeath2.
I don't get it. I mean, I did....but why?
Well, I hate to say it, but I think that I've finally realized that that this just isn't going to be the game for me. There are lots of neat ideas, but I guess I was hoping for something with a little bit more strategic depth, amongst a short list of other less important things. At this point in development, I think that it's a little bit much to hope for. Anyway, I'll be around keeping my eyes out for mods, and I
Quoting DevildogFF, reply 97 Methinks that FE just isn't the game for you, then. I wonder what kind of clever angle people think they're having when they do such remarks - using even the exact same words used by Brad in countless posts. Do you get a reward? As a matter of fact, the CEO himself asked customers to give their opinion of Beta 4. This is feedback. Also, it's been said repeatedly that
Not sure what to say. The game is amazing in that it has tons of options and depth. At the same time, here is no military strategy to speak of and the RPG elements are for the very late game only. The first hours of playing I find myself defending from random monsters and clicking end turn. It's not fun. Can we please have access to the mod tools soon? I'm beginning to realize that I will never enjoy vanilla FE.
<p
Everything looks better and everything seems to run smoother. My problem with this new beta 4 is, I'm not getting the excitement and immersion that I received from the early beta 3 games.
Really? I had none of that with Beta 3, but I'm finally getting it with Beta 4. I actually think about this game in ways I never have before. Perhaps you're just a little burned out?</
If I did have a wishlist, I wouldn't mind if the champions mostly looked different than something I could create for my own sov. And also the people I meet in the quests, like the merchant that offers me a map to treasure, he looks too much like the Altair sov. Just little things.
And another +1 for this guy, too.
1 - The world is supposed to be devastated, but by turn 40 it is always difficult to find wild places because the AI settle so aggressively. In CiV 5 by comparison you would get a large continuous territory only in the industrial age. A new town should come after a great investment by the players. 2- The new outposts mechanics is cool, but they are too fragile. Some of them should provide a garrison if attacked.<br
The AI is not enchanting its cities or building enough production improvements...
Yeah, this is a problem...
Oh, and essence is perfectly implemented. I love the strategic depth it brings. And I will echo the sentiments on the new spellbook and ensuing effects/sounds. They're SPOT ON. Very good job!
After a few hours, I'm going with good. Here's what's keeping it from excellent: The minor bugs persist. Most of them have been talked about ad nauseum. I don't want to keep talking about them The outposts should change their look based on the upgrades. Or am I just missing something? I HATE HATE HATE the pioneer spam. Please fix this before release. The minor sound effects that have been there since the beginning. Ple
Definitely coming out Thursday, Froggy? Because I just can't wait any longer. Any hope for a changelog to tide us over until then? :)
"Also my pet peeve, the sound effect when you pick up treasure that sounds like breaking glass is still there. It's almost as annoying as the "creaking door" noise when you pick treasure. Neither of these make any sense and irritate me enough to make me hate picking up goodie huts. If they were in context, sure. So if you have the creaking door noise when you find a goodie hut that's an abandoned wooden building, it's ok. But when you find an abandoned wagon and it soun
Release date for Beta 4 is now early August? For real? Ugh. Or did you mistake my 'release date' for the final release? I hope so. I can't wait until August for Beta 4. I'm bored.
RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE!RELEASE DATE! Please, JUST GIVE US ONE. There, now that that's out of my system, how long you gone, Froggles?
That sounds awesome! Can't wait to see it!
I, for one, welcome the compromise. I didn't like *either* extreme. When are we going to see the next beta? My mouth is watering over those screenshots...
