I read that somewhere, is it true? Would this be for marketing reasons or 'we want to make it better' reasons? ?

When your competition is Amplitude studios you've really go to bring your 'A' game. Nice to see Stardock stepping up to the plate. This looks awesome. I love me a polished game.
If you hit a sovereign with a volcano, i think it's a guaranteed game over for that player.
That's something I've wondered about. When you volcano a city what happens to the units in that city? I thought maybe the city was destroyed but the units (especially the Sovereign) were 'teleported' to the nearest other city. Same way as when he looses in combat.
The only game setup option I set to 'easy' is 'Monsters'. Otherwise like you say - lots of monsters early on that are really hard to deal with.
This Titan of Gold is on one my maps and seems crazy overpowered. I have armies with 600+ points and he wipes them out with spell after spell after spell. I've tried using spellcasters of my own but my spells barely seem to touch him. He can drop the health of every unit on the map in one turn. Everything should have a counter-tactic but I'm not seeing one for this yet.
Really? You hit them hard and they just vanish? Sure, I dropped a volcano on one of their cities but they had lots of other cities and big armies. So they just quit?
the engine performance is very good, I play it on an old laptop with a i5 cpu and a 1gb gt525m. My laptop struggled with other elemental games, but SK I get a steady 60fps on low settings and 40fps with graphics on high settings. The only problem is that some of the character movements between turns are not always smooth. By the way the art style on SK is truly amazing, it looks good, almost cartoon l
A battle starts because an enemy engages my unit somewhere on the map. Then after the battle I don't know which unit on the map just got attacked. I was just watching the beta 5 video and same thing happened - he was in a battle and then afterwords couldn't find his unit on the map. If you like to use the same unit type as a 'watchguard' and place them various places on the map it's impossible to tell which one was just in a battle
Nope, not done. Brad has posted that there is a free 2.0 patch financially approved that they just don't currently have the manpower to do yet. It was originally supposed to be after the SK release, but the SK release is now looking like it is being delayed until July. He also posted about a possible Ultimate Edition or something like that. If you do some google-fu on these forums you should be able to find both. [/q
I'd like more terrain variety. Not variety on the layout of the map, but different kinds of terrain. I'm pretty tired of the same old 'this is gnarly tree's, this is grass, this is mountains', etc. Oh, and BOATS. Really want to explore in boats. Attack cities in boats. Trade in boats. </
The early available city enchantments are pretty weak. But you want to use them early on so you can as many 'benefits per turn' as you can. But later in the game when you have a lot more mana and much stronger enchantments you don't have open spots to use them (unless you've saved some). So - can you undo an enchantment so you can put in another one?
Is there going to be a 2.0 release? I thought this game was done.
Because I'm not finding it. Obviously dominion is easy, conquer everyone, and that's what I've been doing. What's the story on the other ways to win? How do you win an alliance victory, for example? I assume you have to research something, but does that mean they have to research it too? You can't control what the AI is or isn't researching. There's some 'magical spell' way to win too, I&
I tried the multiple stacks and it blew them all away.
How do I know what unit can cast Tornado? And what if that unit is in his city? I'm still on the world map, I can only cast unit spells on the tactical map, so I have to get that unit on the tactical map before I can disable it. In other words, he can cast this spell on the world map but I can only counter it on the strategy map which I can only get to by attacking the unit but I can't get to the unit because he casts Tornado? And what
It seems to effectively make your enemies cities impossible to attack. I tried the 'put all your units on one tile' spell, but then before I could attack the city - boom, tornado again. I ended up turning four of his cities into volcanoes and he surrendered, but is that the only way to get around Tornado?
Rushing construction is a technology. Think it's administrative in the second column of the civilization tab. And no, parden doesn't have any big brutes. Once you research in the military section for a while you'll get some better weapons and armor to upgrade with.
Thanks for the tip on construction. So the Parden is basica
First game I played as the Verga (sp?). Anyway they had a big troll looking thing that could clobber monsters and win most fights. But I'm playing as the Pariden now and their little bitty archers and sword guys just get SWALLOWED WHOLE by just about anything on the map. What's the trick to playing Pariden? Run away constantly from all fights? What are these folks good for? I notice I can't use Gildar to rush buildings anymore
You can have enemy units do that (it happens to your units as well) if a unit is not targeting a unit and the pathfinding doesn't prevent it, this happens. Basically, the problem here is simultaneous turns. All units move at the same time. Because humans are slow, the effect is that everyone else moves at once and the humans at another time. This results in AI vs. AI sometimes having a hard time targeting the o
You know I changed my mind about lowering the price on dlc. SOME OF THIS STUFF SHOULD BE FREE. The 'map pack' for example, 'adds more variety to the randomly generated maps and adds five new maps'. The starting positions in this game are not good and deserve to be fixed, but pay for it? Still waiting for the steam sale.
When I have say, six units in a city and want to move them I've been holding down shift or ctrl and selecting each unit. Is there an easier way to select an entire army that is in a city?
SHIPS. I WANT SHIPS. Fishing boats. Caravels, Triremes, Frigates, LOTS AND LOTS OF BOATS. I WANT TO EXPLORE THE OCEAN. I WANT TO ATTACK A CITY FROM THE SEA. S H I P S. Oh, and I like 4X empire builders, so yes, I'm a lot more interested in an expansion to FE:LH than I am interested in SK. I like to build an empire and interact with other empires. Doesn'
Yeah, I restart many times so I can have AT LEAST ONE RESOURCE in my starting city.
I see an elemental on the map, with a rating of oh, say about 300. I move my 600 army to fight it and get wiped out. EVERY TIME. I cannot seem to defeat an elemental so save my life. What's the trick with this?
