Correct, but it's worth taking a look at in how they tied in the expansion packs to the main game. I wasn't saying to use the mechanics of Talisman, but to take a look at the game design and overall picture of the product. What's the endgame? What defines the base game? Have you managed to keep enough of it simple to appeal to more than a niche market? What makes it more/less than say Risk/Axis&Allies with add-ons? You obviousl

Hey Derek, I bought the Quests DLC Pack and find that the new Assassin clothing is unusable by a lot of the Champions. Not a deal breaker, but it is mildly annoying / inconvenient.
Thanks for compiling the list tjashen , it so nice having links to everything in one place.
What's irksome is ofttimes you just want to do simple edits, like changing the factions colors because you forgot to assign them a color beyond the default. Or change the colors because the one you wanted to use looks horrible on the world map.
You might want to take a look at a Fantasy Boardgame Classic: "Talisman" Of interest, you might want to see how their expansions tied into the basic game. I'd played the 3rd Edition with the Tower Expansion for the center of the board. Good Times http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talisman_%28board_game%29
It is really sucky that there's no simple way to do basic edits to custom Factions aside from manhandling XML code after the fact
I've been working on something similar, but instead of being Sovereign specific, it might be easier to be Race Specific You might want to take a look at a few mods that come to mind Heroic Pursuits; Plethora of skills tied into all of the Traits areas http://fallenenchantress.nexusmods.com/mods/1338//? Children of the Storm; has some paths that only appear for the race being played (Drota, et
Wow, quick update. Time to start a new game =) Notes on 3c which I may update in this post over time Hero Creation Screen ; Destriers are available at a 0 point cost and all Lances at 0 cost Chose Basic Steel Lance as I think was intended Sovereign started without any subordinates (typically spearman/guardian) Control-N cycling through starting points until I see a Horse Resource (Keeping in
It occurred to me as I'm creating a new Faction, it would be nice in the Faction creator if the text color for Mods were different from Basic White. Maybe there's a way to do this already, I don't know. Was just thinking that some single mods install multiple components, so color coding would help keep track of the various mods installed.
It would be nice if there was a toggle in Advanced Options to turn off Default Units in the Training Window (excepting the Basic Pioneer/Scout unit)
Ok, a bit of feedback after 2 games on Large Maps in FE:LH Mods Installed: Add Faction/Traits Mod (Duh) Children of the Storm Arcane Artificers Bound Elementals Duke/Wolf Hero (Modified) Necromancy Revamped River Bridges Custom Faction : Clydesdale Hero: Adventurer; Air I, Tactician, Hardy, Cautious, Vulnerable to Magic ::
My most recent game had the old problem with the Imperium being unable to be completed due to an AI city being built too close to the walls. Edit: Also seeing Ogres using Crushing Blow at range. Ouch
Outposts are plenty useful. They can be upgraded fairly quickly for good benefit. Since when do your stacks not like +50% damage. I do agree that having Outposts tied to population is kinda sucky.
A new splash page or other indicator would have been nice. It took me awhile to notice the new inclusions.
It's almost funny that the Market Share of Vista is about the same as the 2 most recent releases of Mac OS X combined. Windows 8 was written hurriedly for tablets on top of a Windows 7 infrastructure. Microsoft should have kept Win8 on Tablets and let Windows 7 expand further into the marketplace putting the nail in XP's coffin.
It's actually refreshing getting a base game without the standard tropes (Dwarves, Elves, Hobbits, etc..). Unfortunately, with no Campaign play there's little reason to become invested in the existing factions. I would guess that many just start making their own stuff and skip over the pre-made sovereigns. That being said, I can't imagine not using the available Mods that have been put out by the players. The High Fantasy Mod (Children of the Storm ) f
Does the Trample ability also do Damage as well? If so, that could be a bit OP. Does the Racial Skill work like the Burning Wraith skill (Stackable)? I've been compiling some feedback on the last update, hope to get it over to you today.
nice did you read the whole article ? may I ?: Symantec’s track record in the Times appears worse still. But it’s worth noting that its peers would likely have been equally useless: The security firm actually outperformed most of its competitors in the most recent tests by German antivirus testing firm AV-Test, which gave Symantec a rating of 5.5 out of 6 for protection of Windows 7 in its latest enterprise antivirus analysis, a b
I also remove Norton and McAfee for all of my clients at no additional charge. http://www.forbes.com/sites/andygreenberg/2013/01/31/symantec-gets-a-black-eye-in-chinese-hack-of-new-york-times/ Norton has been a PoS since 2000. It always amazes me how many magazines place it in their top 5, which IMO just goes to show that spreading around
Off topic: Btw has anyone noticed their new game maps not having metal? I started 2 new games so far and haven't seen any metal mines !
It's not just you, I've had a couple of games in a row with no Iron Mines in sight
In regards to the OP, Master of Magic was designed to capitalize on the amazing success of Magic the Gathering redesigned as an Empire game. So all the things you say it harkens to, is because those are all the tropes that Magic:TG borrowed from.
There's a review/recap of the Superman film up at io9 that encapsulates what I think is bad about the Superman movie http://io9.com/the-most-important-scenes-from-man-of-steel-as-i-remem-516405346
Agreed. It's a real waste of using Cloudwalk just because you want to hand off a weapon to another Champion.
Yea this is more along the lines of what i was thinking. Only obstacle is buying windows 7
If you do a search on eBay for Windows 7 CoA you can get the OS for $40 in buy it now, or a lot cheaper through bidding. Technically, a Windows license cannot be resold, which is why you'll find vendors selling the plastic door that happens to contain the CoA license.
I was excited to try this out. In my experience it's been a bit of a mixed bag. - The trees are now so diverse that the AI Player is investing points on Heroes that don't really benefit them. A case of Too Much of a Good Thing - Some graphic issues. On some Heroes, displays just fine. Other Heroes the Trait Trees are offset with the Starter Trait being closer to the middle of the screen rather than on the far left. - Love the new R
