Thanks HF. It's a shame that Abilities can't be flagged with a "no shield" tag. I'm guessing there's probably no easy way (if at all) to set a faction to only use certain weapons in their Tech? Would have liked to make a Faction that only uses 2-Handed Weapons.

If you search the forums there's been plenty of talk about spears. General answer is that Spears are fine, you just need to build units that take advantage of their perks. The Spear's Reach is generally less valuable in design than the Armor Bypass. In my designs they Spears are used with Shock Troops. Mounted with High Initiative. Done right, spears unit can wipe half of the opposing forces before the AI even gets to take its turn.

Right on Jafo. I sometimes have a bit of trouble explaining to my clients that just because we now have your hard drive in a mirrored Raid, that it only helps protect you against hardware failure. Hopefully a quick and easy question: I wanted to create an Ability that caused a Strike Exchange. Effectively, I attack enemy, enemy gets a free counterattack. What I'm not seeing is an immediate trigger for Counterattack. Most options would grant a counterattack ability to the enemy, but no response to the immediate strike. The only other thing I can think of is to fake a counterattack by giving a huge temporary stat boost to Initiative.

I have a local partner that has the equipment to do physical drive recovery (disassemble the drive, pull data directly from the platters), and it's not cheap. Spears: Are actually better balanced now after the reduction in Armor Piercing. Units designed around Spears are highly effective as Shock Troops on the first turn. Clubs: I'm fine with them excepting that Bash is currently OP. Clubs also have an advantage in that many of the upgrades do not require Metal Axes: Two chances to hit a target. A last ditch effort if you're having sector issues is an old program called Spinrite. It will test each sector of your Hard Drive for bad blocks and move whatever data it finds in a bad sector to a good sector. I was checking the Radius parameters earlier and found 3 in the CoreSpells file ADJACENT: This is obvious, LINE_FORWARD, & LINE_BACKWARD. I have no idea what distinguishes the LINE parameters. I wish they would have used a different design for Choosing Class Paths. Just recently I was checking out the Ranger Mod, but on level up you wouldn't know it was there with scrolling down (no scrollbars apparent). They really should have went with a Wheel/Spoke system so that if a new Class Path was created in the appropriate Mod Folder it would just show up as a new spot on the wheel instead of the Huge Card Placards that are currently in place.

I had a thought last night and wondered if it was feasible. One of the minor Mods I used to play in FE was the Heroes mod (4 Champions w/ unique personalities). Was wondering if it would be possible to pre-assign an ability that shows up on the character sheet but the ability wouldn't be available for use until hitting a level? Example: Let's say I have a Ogre Hero that wants Crushing Blow. Can the skill be pre-assigned but unusable until he hits Level
