Like with any other game, reviewers get access to the game early. This is to make sure there are reviews when the game is released.
First review Fami Gami 8.6 out of 10: http://famigami.com/review/age-of-wonders-iii-eternal-lords-review-pc/ Explorminate's review on their new site: (Verdict: recommended!) http://explorminate4x.com/2015/04/14/age-of-wonders-3-eternal-lords-review/
Today is the release day of Age of wonders 3 - Eternal Lords! I'm starting this new thread for reviews, comments, experiences etc. The game is released for Windows, Mac and Linux. If you already own a copy for the windows version, you automatically own a version for the other platforms. The expansion is huge. It consists of a free update 1.5 for the base game and the Eternal Lords DLC which is priced at 19.99 dollar or 19.99 euro. One of the major thin
Here is a new let's play video by one of the developers, showing amongst other things: - the Tigran race - the unity victory - Unity beacons - Vassal cities - Peacekeeper speicialization - Race Governance upgrade options http://ageofwonders.com/new-video-tigran-unity-victory-live/

Wow, I didn't know AOW 3 had so many units etc. Tibbles, a forum user has compiled a nice infographic to compare all installments of age of wonders. http://ageofwonders.com/the-age-of-wonders-series-in-numbers/?paged=2
The public beta on Steam has started for the free 1.5 patch that is accompanying the Ethernal Lords DLC. Both will be released on april 14th. The release will be for Windows, Mac and Linux! http://ageofwonders.com/open-beta-for-update-v1-5-kicks-off/ Especially the Diplomacy stuff in the free update looks neat! Diplomacy AI Improvements .
Ah, this is the update I was waiting for. This for me is the most important thing that is going to be in the next update/dlc. It's the new diplomacy/alignment/relation system, a system that allows for 'Vassal states'! http://ageofwonders.com/dev-journal-vassals-and-enhanced-diplomacy/ Next week the update DLC/will be announced. &nb
Yes!! The next DLC for Age of wonders 3 is getting even more stuff in it! Not only the Necromancer class and frostlings but also: The Tigran race! http://ageofwonders.com/dev-journal-the-tigrans-part-i/ Play by email multiplayer through a server: http://ageofwonders.com/d
A 49 min. podcast with Lennart Sas from Triump studios about Age of Wonders 3: http://ageofwonders.com/podcast-at-explorminate-covers-frostlings-race-relations-pbem/ It's actually very intersting. It's about the future of the game with free updates and dlc's and some history. Some things that are coming: - PBEM (play by email multiplayer) - F
Wow 5 stars out of 5 from Tom Chick at Quarter to three for the Golden Realms DLC! I missed that one! http://www.quartertothree.com/fp/2014/10/02/golden-realms-fulfills-promise-age-wonders-iii-adds-hobbits/ This is his conclusion: 'Golden Realms is a best-case scenario for how to do DLC. It’s got the kind of stuff that you wouldn’t want to do without if you’re playing Age of Wonders III. Even if you’re not playing a halfl
Triumph announced some of the plans for the next expansion which they say is going to be even bigger than Golden Realms. They are planning on introducing undead necromancers, not as a race, but as a class. The cool thing is that you can play as a necromancer with every available race. The race can then gradually turn into undead! That would be very cool! They are asking for your ideas, as they are still in the early stages of designing the next expansion. <
Wow, the base game AOW 3 is -50% this weekend on Steam. It costs 20 dollars now. And The Golden Realms expansion only 10 dollar! I've played a bit of the new Halfling campaign and I like it. The story is good and there are a couple of nice surprises. Halflings are not dull at all. The new Naga dwelling creatures are cool as well.
If the surrender feature is implemented well it saves people from the tedious mop-up job in the later stages of the game. It is optional however. This seems all good to me. There's also a new journal about wild magic: http://ageofwonders.com/dev-journal-wild-magic/ I personally like the unpredictability of this this specialization.
What's especially interesting is the changes that should make strategic gameplay and dimplomacy a lot more interesting. The seals of power and AI-surrender option could make the end-game more interesting.
Together with the already mentioned DLC a free patch will also be released: The 1.4 Patch has a huge list of features and changes: http://ageofwonders.com/announcing-patch-v1-4-now-in-public-beta-on-steam/ The Golden Realms DLC appears to cost 12 euros or 12 dollar. <a href="http://ageofwonders.com/golden-realms-ex
The engine is already multithreaded. This was stated by the developers.
Now that patch 1.2 is out, the devs are posting development journals again. The first one is about a new victory condition called 'Seals of Power'. It is meant among other things to make the endgame more interesting. http://ageofwonders.com/expansion-dev-journal-seals-of-power-victory-condition/ It looks very interesting to me. What do you think?
There is a new patch on the way. If you bought the game on steam you can participate in the beta. It is scheduled for release nect week, if everything goes well. It should fix a lot of the level4 unit issues and balance issues. They also give a glimpse on upcoming new features concerning better empire building and dimplomacy. http://ageofwonders.com/forums/topic/v1-092-huge-beta-patch-available-on-steam-2/

Total. very cool Well not for WOM it wasn't. That game will haunt me forever.[/quote] On the other hand, maybe in hindsight, it brought you a lot of good as well. Seeing where you are now with the company. But of course I can't tell for sure.</p
