I noticed that 3 of the Vanilla Sovs still have "Organized" as an ability/trait on the sov select screen. Also noticed that the Wraith sov (forget her name) says 14 wisdom on the select screen, but when a game is started she only has 10 essence. I haven't checked every sov for inaccuracies, I just noticed these last night after my reinstall got me up and running again.

I've been thinking about trying to start an Eberron, realized it doesn't fit the core mechanics for Elemental, and then this morning went, "Dark Sun would fit!" You beat me to it. [e digicons]8(|[/e] I'm not much of a code jockey, but I'd be happy to help with concept, tech, unit dev, and I'll even take a stab at the world map. If you want the help. I've got some ideas on using current resources as well.
Thanks

Just updated to the hotfix and now I can't get past the "Dragon" load screen. Complete Freeze. Not even Ctrl-Alt-Delete. [e digicons]:hugme:[/e] XP SP3 Pentium 4 2.6Ghz 2 GB Ram ATI x 1650 512MB X-Fi
In my current game I've started running into alot of Ogre Shamans that like casting confuse. Most of the time on the same unit, over and over. Confuse description states it halves attack values. This is not what I'm seeing in the attack values on the unit cards in battle. Rilis had and attack power of 27. After one confuse if dropped to -4, even her auto hit ability missed due to negative damage. BUT here's the fun part, a round later the Ogre shaman cast confuse on her again, this time makin
To anyone on here concerned about whether Stardock will get Elemental straightened out, or considering never buying another SD title, I highly suggest you find a copy of the original Galactic Civilizations, The Original release of GalCiv 2, and GalCiv 2 Ultimate. All 3 are awesome 4x games, but you really need to see what happens between these versions. In all fairness, The first one had rough edges and limited player options. Fun, but I went back to MOM and MOO 2 after a month or 2.<
All of my sov's kids have the same description/background text and traits as the same sex parent. Appearance and Stats are different. All males take after the father , females the mother. It's not even switching out the names in the background text. I don't remember this happening in my 1.05 game.
"5" When the game decides I should be playing in 3d mode instead of cloth map, I hit "5" to zoom in (I like the angle better than "1") and zoom back out to cloth map. I have to use this every time I save, so I guess it's my Favorite.
I'm all for this. just dunno if my PC is...
Last game No one had horses, Me or AI, anywhere on the map. However 1 AI faction had 7 Worg Dens. I took over a few of their cities and eventually I had Knights mounted of worgs on my kingdom faction...
Aylkiouyiskiaia I pronounce it Bob...
Maybe the Save/Upload is a bug, It makes sense for the ownership not to change until next turn. Plus, I like it that way just in case the enemy Sov is on their way there for the next turn, it at least a few sov suicide runs
Btw, has anyone noticed that you can use diplomacy with minor factions? Just start diplomacy with one of the majors, and then use left or right button at top, to scroll to other leaders, influcing minor factions. You can them make tech/trade treatises, or sell them excess resources (since they usually have some excess gold).
I noticed and that's part of why I made this post. As a Empire faction you ha
Oooo Fun. Persephonie marries Magnars son, but what will the in-laws think? [e digicons][/e] Love these ideas as I've had a game take over 150 turns before finding a champion of the opposite sex. Or would like my uber essence kid to marry and have kids with an uber essence Champ. But yeah, this system could be abusesd...
I've been thinking back on the last 3 games I've played and I've noticed that of the 25 or so minor factions I've encountered, only ONE has had a protected resource that wasn't an Ogre camp, and I think that was an accidental placement of a fire shard because he also had an Ogre Camp. This really can't be right as I can think of several other resources that are just as valuable (shards, crystal, Horses/wargs, Scenic Views, etc...).
Your city is 5 tiles away from the other cities, but all the other tiles are not so you can't build any improvements on them. This is one of the non bug things that really annoys me about this game. That and not being able to found new cities or build improvements where old cities were.
Me as well, gets annoying trying to figure out what I'm changing. Can you change the map color selection? it refused to take for me... Also I can't get it to take a faction rename, and if I double click on the name the entry box turns black. I have to restart the prog to get the black box to go away.
I've had the same thing happen with Sovs as well, Start a new game with a pregen sovereign (magnar a think). Didn't like the starting locale so I exited to main menu and started a new game. Now in the Sov Select screen the is a new custom sovereign with the same stats and description, but a different face. I have replicated this error several times. Also any units you had before starting a new game carry over. Start a game using a custom faction that has the master archer trait, create an arc
Actually this sounds like like Fame in MoM. Capturing cities and such earned you fame while lossing them lost you fame. The more fame you had the more people would approach you to sell you items, heroes looking for work, and so on. The Heroes you had didn't really contribute their stats to your fame score but it was still a global stat that would effect how popular you were.
There is already a reputation score that could act lik
[e digicons][/e] My Deserts bigger than yours..... maybe not... nice spell by the way. Great Idea
If I remember, the 1.07 patch was supposed to make individual attack rolls for each unit, but that doesn't solve defense. I like the idea of a cohesive squad. I also agree that 4 peasants fighting together are stronger than 4 peasants fighting separate. I think a simple solution would be for the individual units to retain their original stats and receive a Squad Bonus to attack and defense. Something like +1 for each member of the squad or +1 attack for each even member, +1 Defense fo
So your run a terror campaign of "Join me or Die". City goes into revolt for a turn, the population leaves the city or dies trying leaving you with a controllable size (say 25 pop), City shuts down for another 5 turn because the new overlord wants to re-shingle the whole town, Then let's cut off access to faction only resources (So Kingdom can't build Darklings after catching an empire city, etc...)... It's a settings glitch I have had happen. Turn off the Cloth map option, go back to the game, go back to options and turn cloth map on again. That should fix it for that one occurrence. I've found it to be more effective for me to keep the cloth map setting at 90 or 95 so the most the time I'm on the cloth map but if this glitch happens I just zoom in until it changes to full graphics and zoom back out to cloth map and it saves that time spent playing with the options menu. Go
BUMP No one else has had this happen?
