I agree with most of what cale_knight said but i still feel the game needs a couple more decent patches to get it upto a level where i'll love playing it. Right now it crashes on me rather alot but push through that and it's still a fun game, and like any other strategy game in the first week of launch it just needs some balance.

About summons, I know the spellbook has been removed but there are two things i've noticed in my game: #1 Custom sov's i gave the summoning book to before the patch have still got it. #2 One of my sov's that doesn't have the spellbook and was created post patch can summon bears and fire giants and elementals and stuff now. Is this how everybody else is experiencing it? Also regarding mouse clicks, i find the
I just had a strange scenario where the gildar had built a city next to what seemed like each resource tile (without over laps at level 1) and defended each with a single level 1 champion. Sufficed to say i just walked in with a couple of peasants and my sov and took over and razed every single one of them, so yes the AI is a little inefficent right now.
With the current state of the game, turn desyncs, random crashes and freezes etc. It would be nice to have a wait cursor for when the AI's are takeing their turn, just an hour glass icon or something similar, so we know if the game's frozen or just processing the odd massive troop movement. Other than that just fix the crashes and i'll be pleased with my purchase, it's been a fun process trying to learn the best ways to crush my enemies in a new take on the 4x genre.
Companies really are vastly more powerful than single units. If you have a company of 8 units they could quite probably take out an enemy army of 12 of the same single units and a sovereign (the AI isnt great with spells or archers right now). Also i think something should be done about the AI stupidly charging into -defence % tiles to face your forces standing on hills, it makes alot of fights laughable when they would otherwise be a close call.
