Factories have always given Starports adjacency bonuses for me, but I remember the Campaign on Retribution was different. Sometimes for the better, actually. Also, Helios Ore mines have never benefitted from adjacency bonuses. The interface draws the little arrows implying that they should, but they don't.
Thanks. Now I'm curious. I'll try to re-create the problem.
I assume you meant anomalies, because artifacts are something else.
No. I mean Artifacts. "Anomalies" is a generic term for any of the stuff a surveyor can find in space, including Space Junk, Capsule, Starship Graveyard, and Artifact.

Crusade 3.8. The Tutorial scenario. Most DLCs installed. I'm not trying to demonstrate a bug; I'm asking for confirmation of the rule. If it's suppose to provide a bonus and didn't then that's a bug, not a point of controversy. FWIW, in the MW campaign it works as expected. MW, however, doesn't use Crusade, AFAICT. E.g. no Helios Ore; no Extractors. BTW, under Crusade the MW campaign is messed up in other ways. See the 3.7 Bug List [s

10) Oh woe is me. Now 10+ turns in, I'm getting BSOD s after playing for 1+ hours. The last one the game disappeared and a "Galciv crashed" dialog appeared on screen before BSOD. Can't tell the cause; I haven't read a PC dump in decades, and Win7 x64 tells you next to nothing intelligible anyway. The game gets a little sluggish, possibly a warning - like precursor symptoms of grand mal seizures - so I've been saving and restarting. But not

Okay, let's make this simple. No illustration required. Should a Factory (+1 All Construction) adjacent to a Starport (Ship Construction) provide its bonus to the Starport? i.e. to Ship Construction. Yes or no?

Playing Milky Way (yes, again) with 3.8. Using the console to watch opponent development (meaning I'm in contact with everyone). First non-tutorial game with Crusade and the Mega Events DLC installed. 4) Anomalies are incredibly rare. I think I've seen six total. 5) The Pirates just sit there and do nothing. If this wasn't intentional, it's a very long-time bug. Of course, just aft

There is a pinned topic asking me to read it. https://forums.galciv3.com/466300/galciv-iii-helpful-links-read It is woefully out of date, referring to a borked copy of the v1.0 Manual. I didn't check the other links... If you're not going to maintain it, then please unpin it and let it die a natural death.

I have a Helios Ore deposit. It has a +2 Starship Construction adjacency bonus. I build a Starport next to it and get the bonus. Then I build a Helios Ore extractor on the deposit. The starport itself has a +2 Starship Construction adjacency bonus. It doesn't benefit the extractor. Okay. (Really?) Then I build a Factory next to the Starport. The Factory has a +1 All Construction adjacency bonus. That's ALL Construction. The St
There was some momentum for fans maintaining an XML fixlist.
No surprise. Do you know a public person fluent (or even stuttering) in XML? The mere suggestion must have been a joke. Such a beast *must* be forms-based.

Thanks to the great Steam sale I finally have Crusade, so now I can see such features as Citizens. I think it looks good, and the Tutorial is a solid step up from your previous. Well done! However, there are bugs in everything. These are from the Tutorial at Normal difficulty: 1) The Xeno Agriculture branch of the tree is just missing. It's lack disables Cities, which may be intentional, but Fat-Butt Bot makes a point in one sequence of telling you

It's a crock! You get the s/w with a SHORT TERM license. The video proc is a deal - only $30 for a long-term license. But hardly free. And they want all your work details in order to get what amounts to a TRIAL. Don't fall for it.

By the way. There is a nice manual that seems to discoverable only by accident. (The 'Manual' button on the main screen is broken.) Look in your install directory. E.g. ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\ for the file GalCivManual_2018.pdf (or something like that). It will help much more than the wiki or posts here.

Campaign - Return 9) The High Output Mines tech does nothing. I can understand de-emphasizing it in the scenario, but when I spend 10 critical early turns rush-researching and get nothing, it's more infuriating than entertaining. Have it yield *something*. BTW, what blinking tech tree is the campaign using? ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\Campaigns\Ca
If Star Control: Origins takes place in an entirely different universe from Galactic Civilizations III, then I guess the characters from Star Control: Origins only appear in Galactic Civilizations III as the result of some kind of inter-universal teleportation accident? Welcome! Yes, you can get a full experience with GC3. Obviously it won't be the same experience... There is a game timeline in the Campaigns screen. In general, what happened in the earlier game(s) happened earlier in the galaxy than GC3. But the games are more iterations of the same concept than consecutive stories. SD

I've been playing GC since the very first release. I've done extensive mods on GC2. But I haven't played GC at all in more than two years so have fallen behind and am now just understanding the latest 3.+ GC3. (I've played a lot of classic GC3 (2.33).) GC2 had - and still has - some serious problems, which many of our mods were intended to address. GC3 is clearly the more developed game. But GC2 allowed a clarity of strategy and tactics that I find
