Icon Packager in conjunction with Microangelo in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I like dabbling with my windows a bit but I should probably have a little more savvy before doing to much. I am using Curso XP which I understand completely along with Iconpackager which I get by with but I am sure I am not using its full potential. My main question is if Microangelo works in conjunction with Iconpackager or is it a program that does mostly the same thing as iconpackager? As I read the description of Microangelo I think it gets into other areas of the desktop

Zodiaq I'm sorry I should have been more explicit with my question.......I don't own Iconpackager as of the present time......would Microangelo be a suitable replacement for Iconpackager for downloading and using icons I find on this site? If I understand your answer, it requires me to have both programs? Brad

Yes I did download the trial version awhile back and it did do exactly as I wanted but it seemed such a waste to buy the full program for just changing icons, I think the rest of the things that you can do with Microangelo are a bit over my head. Could you answer this question if did get Microangelo would I still be able to download icons from this site to use with Microangelo? I'm all for supporting the site and I did buy a couple programs from Stardock in the past but for me I think Microangel

Thanks for the quick replies, to Wizop, I cant install into any directory I already have like making a new folder? Your suggestions requires me to purchase the iconpackager right? And to c242 I am convinced icon changer is the best from reading all the posts but I got the idea that I could only do complete packages of icons and not individually is this right? Again thank you. I would love to buy the full blown package of Windowblinds but I was injured at work 6 years ago and live on disability so I need to be careful where I spend my money. I did buy CursorXP awhile back and have fun with that. My question now revolves around icons, do I need to buy another program? I don't think iconpackager is what I want it might be nice for doing all the folders at the same time but I sit around and tweak and play with my windows (theirs not much more I can do except deteriorate

Thanks for the responses.......I will have a look at the library....the thing I am never sure of in these libraries is if I am looking at object bar alone or with three other applications ....such as what good morphing related to "works great with windowblinds".....I guess I should look at windowblinds again it was very early in my explorations about changeing desktops that I looked at windowblinds but like I said it was a bit over my head at that point........

I disagree that the site is a waste of time.....however.....I read how friendly and helpful people are.......they should have added cliquish to the description, this is the third time I have posted here and have yet to get one response for legitimate questions but there is no lack of people laughing at someones lame joke so they in turn will squeal with delight at their lame joke.....truth be told this site does try and get you to spend money more than any other I have found but I dont cons

I looked for a search function and couldnt find one so I apologize if this is asked often here. I would like to set up my own windows. Not packaged as a theme but just controlling the individual parts. What I think I can do is Wallpapers, Icons, cursors, sound, what I have no idea about is a simple program to change the color of my task and toolbars. While messenger is a nuisance in my opinion Microsoft has big plans for it well beyond a messenger system. I'm no expert but it had to do with linking of websites etc etc. I'm sure you could always reinstall it if you wanted to try out some new aspect of it. Regardless having the option to uninstall something you dont want on your system is a great step forward and I might add only became possible because of people protesting programs being rammed down our throats. I'm not sure if this applies to Webshots or not but I have seen some other downloads that give you an option to include Gator or another such spyware. The default is nearly always checked yes so if you rush through some installations like I sometimes do you may inadvertanly accept gator without knowing it. Brad
