Thanks so much, I really appreciate all your hard work in fixing the issues that arose in the pre-launch versions. Here's hoping the next couple days go smoothly and you can get some sleep!

Hey, so I'm not sure about your first question, but the crystals are used for enchanted equipment. So when you research magical armors you need to have crystals. Hope that helped!

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I went on to play some and it told me I should update. I was excited because I was hoping that they were giving it to us even earlier than the expected Sunday release. Then it told me my registration was invalid, which is just wrong.

When I was reading this actually the first thing that popped into my head was Warhammer 40k. After the fall of the emperor and they start employing tech priests and psykers to imbue their technology with extra power. Granted, for them it was more of a ritual and didn't really appease the warrior spirit of the weapons, but for someone like the Eldar, there really is something of that mix of magic and technology. I know it isn't exactly magic, it's psychic ene

Army of Darkness (okay, not exactly good except that Bruce Campbell is the man), maybe Merlin, Jason and the Argonauts, and I'd also have to agree with people on Willow.

Reply to Sea Dragons in WOM Ideas

"The one-eyed, one-horned flying pur..." Oh, sorry about that. I think that's an interesting idea, and I agree that I want ocean to be more than just empty space. But any sea serpants, etc. would have to be located further out in the deep ocean or something. Otherwise a fledgling navy could be ripped to shreds by some gigantic sea creature. Maybe they couldn't enter costal areas or something like that.

In regards to saving and reloading. The way I see it, you shouldn't know exactly if it is cursed or "blessed", only that it is now magical. Something like "Give the Alchemist 5 swords to be enchanted. You are notified when the task is completed, and you can then distribute the swords." Maybe they're given the identifier "Magic Sword-Level 1" or something equivalent. That way until it is used, or you notice some negative effects on your commander or whomever receives the sword you don't realiz
The way that you will change the landscape will be based on whether you follow life or death magic, I do not think at this point the other schools play into that aspect.
Does that mean it'll be more of a B&W2 system? Where if you're good or evil will make the land either all lava-like or more green? Though I also think I remember hearing something about fertile land spreading out from your cities, so maybe that's a moot poin

That's a really cool idea. My only worry is that if they did impliment a system like that, how diverse could it be? If a giant battle leaves humps in the earth where there are mass graves, or all the area becomes fertile because of all the bodies (or possibly the other route and becomes more desolate or "evil"). While huge magic battles cause some other effect. In theory I'm entirely for it, I think it would be an amazing game mechanic. I'm just worried that if it wasn't diverse enoug
Id also like to see some units (mostly like earth elementals or cyclops from HoMM) capable of lifting terrain, like rocks, and hurling them across the battlefield as projectiles. Itd be really awesome
I'm not sure what the likelihood of creatures being able to toss terrain will be, but I agree it'd be great if it was in the game. More than that though I just hope that various types of terrain both a) exist
