Lantec's argument is ridiculous. When was the last time any of us was "forced" to buy or use anything? I mean really, most of us have a choice in our clothing, our furniture, our stores, our games, our OS, our everything. Does this mean that no one should criticize anything since we always have a choice to get something else? That's nonsene.
I'm certainly not telling you not to put forth your opinions about the choices w
Somewhat sad to see X3: Terran Conflict and NWN2 on so many lists, love em both.
NWN2 was initially a horrible game, not for the content, but because it was so poorly programmed. People running ridiculous gaming rigs were getting at most 15 fps, and there wasn't anything particularly ground breaking about the graphics of that game. It took them the better part of a year to fix it all, but after they released a major pa

A few things to keep in mind: -You already have Internet Explorer. It comes with Windows. We're not asking you to use it, just update it. If you use Firefox for your Internet browsing, the only difference will be that several IE6 security holes will be patched. -Impulse is only required to install, uninstall, and update Fences, not to run it. Impulse does not need to be running in the background, or at all (unlike Steam), to use Fences. -Stardoc

JDPower: I didn't mean to sidestop the main question, I apologize. Here's what Impulse is and can do: -It is a centralized method of distributing software, as well as pushing updates to that software. Having to deal with every piece of software having its own individual updater is far more difficult than using something like Impulse. -It can be used as a diagnostic tool, and can detect and repair corrupted program files, which saves time in getting things working a
Let me get our complaints straight: 1) Internet Explorer is more insecure than any other browser in the market. We don't have it, don't want it and some of us even cannot install it (eg, corporate machines); 2) To be able to run Fences, there is absolutely no technical reason to have IE7 on the machine. Nil, nada, zilch. Nor is there a reason to have bloatwar.. err, I mean, "great looking custom installer and software mana

Your data in Impulse reset. To the upper left orb, you should get. Chose the 'Preferences...' link. In the middle (I think) of the screen is the button to hit. When you restart the program you'll find That the update is of a large kind. This is normal behavior For a possible savior. If it works, though, I don't think you'll mind. If it doesn't, then I'd recommend You remove and install it again. I've a fresh

Chrome has it's own look and feel. It doesn't play nice and reveal. So the programs we make Sometimes make a mistake, Which results in a view that's surreal. If Chrome has some fuzzy reception, And a theme is distorting perception, Then open our software, And go in and find there The place you can add an exception. Just because there is a law against it, doesn't mean that it's wrong. Just because everyone is doing it, doesn't mean that it's right. If you don't agree with a law, that doesn't give you a license to break it. It just means you need to do everything in your power to change it. If you don't, then you have no grounds to complain. If you feel it should be legal to make backup copies of your DVD, you should be right there with RealNetworks, fighting for you

The exact thing you are looking to do doesn't exist in ObjectDock Plus, but there is a similar feature that might just work for you. -Right-click on your dock. -Select Add -> New Custom 'Flyout Menu' (You may need to select the 'This Dock' item first) -Select 'Custom menu:' -Click Add -> New Shortcut -Click 'Browse', and find the program you want to add. -Name the entry, click 'Change Image' to assign an icon, and click OK. -Add as many sh

Try verifying the theme through Impulse: -Launch Impulse. Right click on the entry for the theme and choose "Verify Installation" -Impulse will check the integrity of the installed theme. You should be given feedback as to the state of the installed theme. -If errors are found, an update should be made available in Impulse. This is not an update to a newer version, but simply Impulse using the update mechanism to replace corrupted files. -Once the u
