I always believed it was because "Elve are the single most overused element in fantasy now a days." Every fantasy game doesn't need elves and dwarves to be a fantasy game and that is one reason I truly enjoyed WOM, FE and LH when I finally get it XD.

Out of the main factions, races, and leaders; who/what/which is your favorite? No customs allowed. Mine: Favorite Leader: Oracle Ceresa Favorite Race: Wraith Favorite faction: Still can't decide between Resoln and Pariden Honestly, Ceresa is pretty awesome character and I plan on doing fan art of her eventually...and maybe Queen Procipinee as well. The Wraiths themselves just seem to be the most unique of them all
People under 35 have never been exposed to the "3 chances/lives and your dead" from the 80's arcade era. They've grown up with games where you just loose points when beaten, but your character/avatar never actually dies, so they just can't wrap their heads around the concept of perma-death.
I'm 23 and this is bullshit. I've played plenty of arcade games like this.
Amazing how much consensus there is, particularly given that some of the most beloved now weren't major commercial successes at the time (eg. Bloodlines, and Torment). Though to really sort this out you need to decide if you mean "best for the time they were made," or "best right now for someone who's never played an CRPG." For example I loved the Nintendo game "dragon warrior" when I was a kid,

As everyone already said FUCKING VAMPIRE THE MASQUERADE, YOU JUST DON'T FUCKv WITH THE TREMERE! Seriously this game blew me away.... I loved the first dragon age origins, it was soft, sexy, and strategic. Number two kind of made me cry... I just wasn't a fine of the class combo thing, and the lack of shapeshifter hurt my heart. Knights of the old republic and the old republic are effing amazing. I never got to play two though sadly
March 14, 2013 1:14:26 PM from Elemental Forums Elemental Forums Those are interesting suggestions. Some can be coded with the current possibilities, some not and some others would have to be coded a bit different. Maybe you could elaborate more on what you would like each of the summoner abilities to do. However, the main problem I see with your suggestion is that in order to be balanced you should create

When something beyond my power happens... Lately I have been running into no fertile farm land, while running into strong armies or even a single strong dragon. Playing this game as a pure mage is frustrating sometimes and other times I drop bombs on them XD.

Thanks for the tip, right now in this latest game, I was the weakest; neither me nor my first champ could take a hit. So i expanded very slowly... hell monsters could kill us easily.

So, I doubt anyone on this board even remembers me since I've been gone a while but anyways. I finally got got FE being someone who loved WOM I'm kinda sad it took me so long to get it. Anyways down to why I am posting, I'm sure I am not the only one who prefers the magic and sorcery aspect of the game much more then building a warrior who just chops things down. I was wondering is the a formula or build set up where your army military power can be bui
Quoting OMG_blackmage, reply 9 my point being, please don't generalize designers like you just have. Why not? It's fun You don't happen to be a designer..? The example I was thinking about was (a competition, uni project, not sure but nvm) some guys in one team and some women in the other team. The guys made this
Brad said a long time ago that the Stardock (games?)teams are (software) enginers. Enginers make practical things that WORK. How they look is unimportant. Designers make the coolestlooking things they can IMAGINE! HOW it works (and if it works AT ALL) is something somebody else has to think about.... Enginers make systems like "+10 to Agility" while designers do things like "ignores d

Just wondering do everyone play the game the same way, you know just researching tech, and civ than beating the ai, or do anyone else try to go about the game in a different light? I am, has always been, and will always be a magic crazed freak XD, I always start with researching magic/sorcerery and always seem to keep it 3- 4 levels ahead of every other tech upgrade (needless to say I keep my MAGUS, sovereign in the front lines casting altering and elemental spell
I find the best way to level up my characters is to research "Summon Familiar" ASAP. Then I can send my sovereign, Janusk and any other heroes out and beat up weaker monsters using the Familiar as fodder. I research heal and arcane blast or some other damaging spell after that. That helps get my characters to a decent level quickly.
this is literslly the same thing I do, I try to rush to elemental magic book spells and

blarg I always start with sorcery and raise my character as a mage. Early game is tough but late game is so fun when my character and a few others are running around the map with a shit load of summons. All hail mages XD!
