Agreed. For those of us who really, really liked to play Master of Magic this game is good and will be great.

I agree. There has been entirely too much negative rehash. OK. There were problems with launch. Everybody knows that. SD has awknowledged the need for improvement. A number of patches are planned to address those issues. Nothing worthwhile is to be gained by going over the same ground again. Let's focus on the future and the features that we would like to have in the game.

1. Allowing grouping of Hero units - require training in a city for some number of turns - would be a great add the RPG nature of the game. You could have a true party of adventurers. 2. Allowing regular single individuals to be grouped - require training for this upgrade - so that they would be useful later game. 3. Allowing groups of regular units to be retrained to upgrade theri weapon mix would be good as well.

Shadowlord, I followed the instructions to down load the map and unzipped it in the recommended folder. I have "use mods" checked in options. When I start a new game this map is not in the choices to select from. What do I need to do to use your mod map? Thanks, Xaltotun

I am having trouble using mod maps. The map that I want to use is the Mega Map that Frogboy posted the other day. I have "using mods" checked in the options menu (and restarted the game). I downloaded the mega map file from the mod library. I am using Windows Vista. The mega map file showed up in "users/name/documents/my games/elemental/maps". It is the only map file in the folder. All of the regular game maps are in "c:/program files/st

I am having trouble sorting out how to use Mod maps. I tried the mod section but it is all about making them not using them. The map that I want to use is the "Mega Map" that Frogboy built the other day. I have "use mods" checked in the Options menu. I downloaded the mega map from the mod library. I am using Windows Vista SP2. The mega map file showed up in " "Users/Name/Documents/My games/elemental/maps".

No. The game is very playable. INHO it is a lot of fun. However, I respect your right to feel otherwise.

Agreed this is a very fun game. I don't know why some people are complaining so much - it's the best thing since MOM.

This game is already a lot of fun. It has depth and breadth. You never know what is going to be around the corner. Will it be better 6 months from now? You bet! I think we are seeing the launch of one of the all time classics. This is truely a game that could only have been developed by an independent group like Stardock. I am one of a number of strategy game players who really enjoyed Master of Magic and nothin

It would be a nice feature if you could take individuals - put them together in the same town - and be able to train them into a unit. This would give you something to do mid game with the leftover early game single units. Obviously it would have to cost something but it would be a worthwhile add to the game.

Frogboy, the day 0 version of EWOM is great. The stability on my computer is rock solid - no issues of any kind after quite a number of turns. The depth of the game as well as the variety is already immense. In its present form I would play it for a long time to come. Add your planned work and mods from the community and we are watching a classic unfold. Thanks for the hard work by you and your te

Frogboy, I was out of town yesterday and at work all day today so no EWOM until this evening. But so far this evening: The pre day 0 version was worth the wait. So far stability has been good and gameplay very interesting. Changes in the user town interface have been very useful in speeding gameplay. Overall first impression is very good. More later. Thanks to you and the rest of Stardock for all your hard wor

Frogboy, Please don't pay attention to these people - they just enjoy being negative. The position that Stardock has taken on copy protection and on making updated archived disks available in the future is an excellent one and appreciated I am sure by the vast majority of your customers. As far as playing mulitplayer on your servers - that sounds like a good service to me. Thanks for all your hard work on the game. Don't let a few always negativ

Frogboy and company, Thank you for taking this position: you put your customers first. With Stardock I don't have to worry about some virus like copy protection scheme taking over my computer. This why I plan on buying Stardock games in preference to anyone else's. Of course the high quality of the games doesn't hurt either. Xaltotun

I seem to remember a Frogboy post in one of the forums to someone who was having trouble with EWOM Beta 4 crashing. If I remeber correctly, he suggested the person uninstall the older beta version and then do a clean install of Beta 4. Do any of you remember this too? Do you think it would be wise to uninstall the beta version we have now before loading the commercial version?
