Haha, good point strangler, some friends were just talking about the "talkers". If they don't talk, don't bother. Fail. I got told "You talk too much"... and we failed.

I'm far from a uber player, but I'm really looking for a game where the team is about teamwork more. Hard to get pre-mades going, but I do find a good amount of peeps that are interested in a PUG, and will play as a team. I realize a game is going to suck when I'm typing up a storm with "b", "ere" (focus), "I'll get curr1", "recharge", "omw oak", etc... and get told "you talk way too much". When the only thing they ever type is "f*(#! I should have gotten that kill!"

That's a good point. At first I was thinking that this was a cool idea, but if word gets out about erebus not coming off the flag, I suppose I would go for a 3 way push on the enemy and take their gates. But it could go both ways, ere could port to the fight, too. He just would not be as useful, but unlimited mist would keep him fairly safe. I'd have to see this in action, sounds good on paper, but like a lot of ideas, it dies out in g

Interesting. Why would you not just put off mist until lvl 10 or whatever? Get the combat skills, be more useful on the flag, buy HP items, then when you get critical level, you can sell everything, buy mana items and get the skills necessary. Isn't mist 1 cheaper? Would it be wiser to go with a minion build, then at the end there, hock my crap, get mana items, mist 1 and pull this off? Then I could stay in mist form and control my minions...

@ kineticone lol! Mugged and handled! I think that should be our new PUG rally cry: NO MORE MUGGINGS! Mugging:(1) a threatened or attempted physical attack by someone who appears to be able to cause bodily harm if not stopped (2) amiably playing a PUG game with noobs and all, only to be beat down by a team of 15 year olds, whacked out on Code

What do you guys think about this? In most team games, I'm playing a tank. During the game, I'm back and forth everywhere, trying to keep the balance, arriving at 1v1s to upset the balance, taking out big blobs of creeps, etc. Basically I just help the specific roles, as a mobile hp sink and damage dealer. At the end of the game, I have the lowest team score, having killed the least creeps, the least towers, the least DGs, etc. I do get more flags, generally.&n

@ Rawwwrrr (sry Makeshift, realized it looked like I was talking to you, lol) Seriously? Post the replay plz. Watch as baldanado runs into their towers at least twice and dies, because he's new. We accepted the new guy after your side, in the lobby, whined like little kids. [e digicons]X([/e] Now, as the new guy was not communicating, our team decided to concede. And of course, he doesn't read comm, so he never conceded.

you don't QQ in the lobby about teams. It's getting old. I like to do a rough balance and go, not listen to the "but he has .001% higher ratio! This is SO UNFAIR!" ...or worse, the pre-mades that are missing one and cry their ass off until they get a good player, then proceed to team-play stomp the other team. The lobby time lasts longer than the game does. In fact, the lobby times are, generally, lasting longer than the

/agreed In fact, I think DA is sub par. His sword is paper thin, looks goofy as he turns. But I'm onboard with the "free content" thing. Don't look a gift goat in the mouth and all that. The original DGs have awesome voices, comments, animations. The new ones do only 1 animation, have few comments, and don't move so well (DA floats, OC is in a frozen position). I wonder if they'd accept user con

What's a good way to take down high level minions? IS there a way? At low levels, yeah, but once you are faced with a minion build erebus, with nearly 1.5k hp on the minions, it's hard going. Rain of ice is ungodly expensive and doesn't do the damage necessary for tough minions. RoF doesn't finish them, they can just run out (or if you freeze them) unfreeze and run out, and they heal very swiftly. Parasite egg does some good when it's close, but once you're l

Dude, EoM is like a 2 second 0 cost ability. You cast it, you have the animation delay and that brief pause before you can take another action. You can only cast 1 ability in that time period. I suppose some things you could get 2 off, but doubtful, unless they're instantaneous cast.

BTW, it is the utmost hilarity when a DA shadow swaps just a you warp back to base. You get moved closer to their towers while he's now in your crystal area. That swap can really backfire!

6 Replies 2,972 Views

Obvious, but had some jackass screaming "CHEATER!" when I would heal repeatedly. Just in case some people think healing potions are cheating. Even if someone uses 5 in a row, lol, it's still fair. And, if the rtard is reading this... if you teleport away and a fireball chases you back to base and kills you... No, I'm NOT running a "hack" and am not "cheating!!!!1111" "again". Any ability will fly after you if you tp away.

I think I and/or others get bugged by shadow swap sometimes. After it swaps, I or the other player gets stuck for about 1-2 seconds, unable to move or make an action. Intended or bug? Anyone else get this? I'll be clicking like mad and he'll just sit there for a second or two, then take action.

I agree that it sounds "blah" when all the other DGs have very specific, special stories, making them one of a kind. Demon Assassin sounds like there are a lot more. Maybe even Demon Warriors or Demon Accountants. BTW, Kestrel, good names, but waaaay too much time on that! lol

Good point Mikhail, but here's 2 thoughts: -BotS is great, but you still need a helmet to boost your base mana amount high enough to use a high level ability chain. Doing a dmg nuke on someone will drain you dry and using BotS in the middle of a fight can really go badly, plus you lose some distance on chasing them, thus never getting in range again -Going ice to fire makes you lose distance on a retreating enemy. In most games I've played, if I draw

+1 I'm so sick of having the "hide and snipe" reg on my team, then I'm having to buy every single upgrade, so I can't tank out front... All this so reg can get 1 kill by using 30k in items, right before they tear down our citadel.

Haha! Bite my tongue, the first time I tried to skip RoF for a modified build, I got faced off with a minion build Erebus. Spent half the game trying to get back RoF, lol. RoF + Frost Nova is nice, but very limited against the Horn of Battle. It does keep him scared of commiting his creeps, though I still just hate RoF, it's great for a short period of time, then it's outdated and the later levels of it do not scale well at all. Something with that long

21 Replies 2,843 Views

Good point on the RoF with frost nova. I'm still thinking that Fire nova is more than enough for creeps, though. Plus RoF is very, very wasteful for towers. Moving in to RoF a tower and the creeps is effective, but you do take some hits to pull that off, generally. Fireball is much more effective, cheaper, and safer for towers. Frost nova is the bees knees :) Freezing the enemy and them have the option to run away or chase them is

I'm just not seeing Ring of Fire as a great ability to get 1 point in, early on. It's a GOOD ability, but it's fairly expensive on mana for little damage. It works vs newer/unsure players as a deterent, but even at high level, it doesn't put out the damage. Maxed out at 1500 dmg, that's still over 10 secs and is helpful, but I'm having fairly good luck skipping Ring of Fire and using the points into frost nova. Not sure what it looks like on pape

You know, most people, at first, get a game and want to play the easiest, simplest char. In this case, it's usually regulus, lol. After playing the game and seeing all the ins and outs, I want the most complicated DG... assuming it pays off (QoT = fail). In this case, TB for me. Ice build is the bees knees for tight knit team games, but in open matches, fire build is the way to go, imho. If you can't work closely with teammates, ice build lacks t

IMHO, as players get more experience in the game, they will quickly concede defeat if it's not going their way. The problem is: I don't blame them. If you have that regulus retard on your team that never helps, or the guy that dies 10 times in 5 minutes.. you're going to lose, barring the opposition making a serious error. It would compare to playing monopoly: setting up the game, finding people, passing out money, figuring out "free parking" rules, et
