Lemme just load up a hotseat multiplayer game, set that up and... oh wait, nevermind.

For me, I find that user reviews tend to be much more in line with my own opinion of games than "professional" reviews. The only "problem" is it's possible for developers/publishers to do something to piss large amounts of their playerbase off, which will tank their user score, such as in the case of Diablo III. Is this a bad thing? I don't think so. Companies shouldn't be doing stuff to piss off a huge enough amount of their playerbase tha
Sorry, I don't mean to, but it's hard to not sound like a jerk when the only reason I'm posting is to make my voice heard after being abandoned by the developer of this game for what appears to me to be bogus reasons. I made my post of bugs and issues I found in the beta to contribute, and I have nothing else to say except for the desire for multiplayer. I can only comp-stomp in a game so many times before I'm bored of it, and I've already done so with this gam
Yeah I'm with you, but we are the 1%. Stick with Fall From Heaven or another multiplayer game. Fallen Enchantress seems like it has some good ideas from what I've played, but the AI is no good, and the game -feels like- it's balanced for multiplayer considering the capability of building up godlike heroes like Dominions 3, where the AI will never be able to counter such things, and only a good human player would be able to, so it's baffling why the
It's not that research is too slow, it's moreso that it's too easy to beat the game.
What it needs is multiplayer, so we can actually pit our uber champions vs some uber spearmen, and see who wins.
Well I just finished up my first game for the beta of Elemental: Fallen Enchantress. Actually, I didn't finish it, because my game crashed and now none of my three saved games will load. :-P Anyway, I was on turn 600-ish of a Large map, normal difficulty with max players (12, I think?), and was pretty much dominating the AI with little effort. I had around 1000 score, while the next highest was 200 or so. First off, I think it's important to inform you guy
We are the 1%. :-P I already posted in another thread but got pointed over here, so decided to toss in this thread that I play strategy games, even TBS games almost exclusively for the multiplayer aspect. Just a few minutes left on my beta download, so it's hard to make a post complaining about something when I'm this close to getting to play a game that was designed by the guy that made my favorite strategy game of all time, Fall Fr
I just want to throw my opinion in the hat here and say that I play strategy games almost exclusively multiplayer. Playing against AI is just boring and predictable after playing against them a few times, no matter how well they are coded, and the more complex the game, the worse the AI tends to be. I'm getting this game for free because I pre-ordered War of Magic, but I can assure you if I wasn't getting it for free, the lack of multiplayer would prevent
-psst- That means you cast it on the strategic map as opposed to the (currently not implemented) tactical combat map.
I agree, I have major issues trying to get stacks of units to stay together. Even if they all appear to be selected usually one of them stays behind, or only one of them moves. I found this especially annoying with a stack of summoned imps and my sovereign.
Observe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oyifT0entQ This video is a typical example of my personal experiences with early game golems. Granted I haven't played a million games yet, so the fact that this is how golems have been for me every time doesn't necessarily mean they are like this for everyone. In this video you will see me end several turns standing directly adjacent to a golem, in thre
In that case that would probably be better off being considered a bad starting location, instead of the monsters being too hard.
Laf. Developers please don't dumb the game down too much. Somebody getting killed on turn 3 to a golem (probably a crappy sand golem) that only has 2 movement when your starting sovereign can see like 4 spaces away is not a fault of the game. That's just a player making a very very bad decision. Hmm, there's a golem that can probably kill me 4 spaces away. He only has 2 movement points so he can't reach me here and he just mills
[quote who="seanw3" reply="44" id="2645840"]I am somewhat angry that the grass in those pictures is all the same color. I have been in the landscaping business for eight years and believe me when I say, grass grows more patchy in the plains and is much taller. Also the tiles near the coast look too much like [insert game you have played before]. I also would like you to change the color of the wood in each weapon to better reflect the tree that it was carved from. I mean how c
Most games also show you where your unit will go and the path they will take before you actually give the command to move. I have seen games with at least a partial undo feature. One that comes to mind is Battle for Wesnoth. With Fog of War off you can undo pretty much any movement command(though not combat). With Fog of War on, you can only undo movement commands that did not reveal any of the fog of war. Edit: Wow, two p
Are these people, such as Viy and Myriam, randomly generated each game?
I pre-ordered after reading this post from Frogboy. Considering I love ALL of the games in the 5 camps he mentioned, (With Fall From Heaven currently taking all my time) and I love turn based tactical battles, that pretty much sold it for me. XD
