[bug]Unit selection is unplayable. I mean Really makes thee game unplayable.

Once again I'm unable to multiselect units.

I really don't understand how it can fail but it is *** ANNOYING.

I select the sovereign and the noble woman in the tile by control clicking on their portraits in the bottom right of the screen.

Both are selected. Or at least yellow outlined. There's nothing anywhere else telling me that I have made a group of them or something. So with this feedback, when I click on the map, I suppose both will move together. I'm wrong. If I move to an inn, only the soevereign moves. I move him back with the noblewoman, repeat the process. Same result. Move back, repeat, move to an open tile: Both move. From there I move to a tile where an adventure is expected, and as I decide to fight darklings, I see that the stupid noblewoman fights them alone when it should be the channeler.

End result: Noblewoman dead, channeler and enemy darklings in the same tile. If I move out, they can attack the channeler but I can't fight them as they are in the same tile.

I will repeat it once again. Multi selection sucks. It does not work reliably. I need a window telling me exactly who it is I am moving. Right now, I have to guess and it's nearly unusable.

I agree, I have major issues trying to get stacks of units to stay together.  Even if they all appear to be selected usually one of them stays behind, or only one of them moves.  I found this especially annoying with a stack of summoned imps and my sovereign.

I don't have any issues grouping units together.  My problems come when I try to split a group up, it doesn't seem to matter which unit I click, certain ones will move when others stay still.  I tried to get my sov & queen to return home, and leave some soldiers & wolves grouped together.  Click the sov & queen, the queen & a foot move.  Click the Sov, he moves with a wolf.  Click the wolf & foot to move them back, the Sov goes with them.   I eventually got it but man....

And where the hell did you summon some imps from???  Thought magic wasn't working, which is why (I assume) them dang books don't work.  Not all of them anyway.

End of Krynus's quote

Do you have the latest beta version?  Magic was enabled for it.

Imps didn't appear for me 100% of the time, until I researched all the books relating to summoning(Hosten's and summoning)

Honestly, skip imps.  Look for the spell called 'Famine' which is not famine at all but Summon: Troll.

Here's an example of impossible selections. This one is blatant and at least I understand I can't do anything I'd like to but it's often less obvious and as unusable:

The issue is that shift-selected units behave as individuals, rather than as a stack. So if you need to split a stack with escorted NPCs in it, you need to remove the other units from the stack, rather than the NPC and its escort. And yeah, we do need to find a better way to handle that.
