Look at this castle. You can't do anything with it: On the cloth map you can't see it:
Here's another out of memory-dump: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_804-2010-06-29T11-50-24-39.zip
It really looks ugly with some factions:
Essence It's good to have a really rare ressource like this. So you can't do everything and you have to choose. Perhaps you could distinguish between 2 uses of essence: 1) Uses the "left" side of the stat that can slowly be regenerated (revieve land, hard magic) 2) Uses the "right"-side of the stat like now that can't be regenerated (surviving defeat, impossible magic). Pioneer (settler, colony ship) I don't like this idea because
I don't have a screenshot but I noticed this many times: My sovereign is wounded and I put him into a city to heal. Now when I click the end turn button the hp-value of the card and the actual hp-value at the bottom of the page differ. The card does not always update.
Some event system would be nice. It could be used for different events: economic, devine, personal. Everything to be toggled on/off of course.
Definitely. And while we're at it: Include the experience of the winning army into the formula! If I'm a level 1 unit and kill a little spider that's worth 10 exp. Killing it as a level 7-veteran should only gain 1-2 exp.
First a jitter in the music and then CTD. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T12-13-18-60.zip
I like that you have to research different "questing"-techniques to get all the possible locations of quests. In the current build there are too many locations but I think you did this so we could test enough. The GUI could be better. I don't like that the full screen first switches and than switches back but you still have to okay a message. I would prefer that everything that belongs to the quest-event happen in one screen: be it the main screen or the quest screen. After accepting
I don't know if this is related. I casted beautify land from within the "engine"-map. The spell animation occured, the tile did not change. Then I tied to move on --> CTD http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T11-26-25-926.zip
Sounds good. I remember a game where you breed dragon eggs and you could add different ingredients to give the new dragon special abilities. Could be fun: - research building - learn spell - search and collect eggs and ingredients - breed your own unique monster.
Tried to cast Brilliance. The cursor was green, so I left-clicked. As nothing happened I tried again with right-click --> CTD. I was on the cloth-map. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T09-25-09-15.zip
Okay, did it again and it happens when you try to select Ironeer in the Design unit screen. Log says something about a missing implementation of some kind.
Think I was on Ironeer and then clicked Design or something... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_804-2010-06-28T08-24-58-793.zip
Something to add: Don't show the leveling screen before the fight-solving screen. It should be the other way round.
I only realized that my scout had been killed because I couldn'f find him anymore. There had been no message of the fight.
I happen to play on the cloth map because I need to see enough of the map. When one tries to build from the cloth map the map is moved (focussing the city or something) a little so that the build order is placed on another spot.
I tried to solve the dark conconation (or something) quest and got defeated. After my sovereign regained his hp I moved into a completly other direction and a few turns later I got the "you defeated the dark wizard" message. Only thing that may happened is that my town that was quite near to the place built something. Dump (a few turns later): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_803-2010-06-18T

Don't allow swapping items over the whole map.
The sovereign does have a leather mail and a sword. Why aren't they shown on the item tab so that one can give them away when one got better equipment?
I think I clicked end turn but I don't know for sure. A minute earlier I got interrupted with a message from my firewall. I allowed .net Optimization to contact an address and returned to the game. Dump: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/Elemental0_803-2010-06-18T14-02-54-484.zip
Maybe can cost 1 gildar per turn 'fortified' on the inn to pay for room, with the side effect being that you regain hp etc. If you don't fortify, you don't regen but also don't get charged.
That's a good idea! Additionally an Inn may only be visited for a few units at a time.
I mentioned this one already in Beta 1. The answer was that the messaging would be changed. Now the messaging is changed but you still get the 1st message on research than the 1st of quest, than the 2nd on research and than the 2nd on quest... I'd like to end one thing and do the other thing.
