Hi, I noticed on your debug.err that you hovered over the shard symbols not long before your crash. That happened to me, too, in tactical battle. Perhaps it has something to do with that.

12) I just noticed that ~every child of the AI-souvereigns does have a blade named "Wrath"-something which adds +60 to attack. While I welcome the difficultiy for me I would think a normal gearing up or different names for the blades would be better. 13) I'd like to collect the gear of fallen enemies after battle.
9. You still can't look into a city that gets a level (to choose a good bonus) When a city's level pops, that city's stats show up in the UI at the bottom-left. You should easily be able to decide on which bonus to take from that information.
Oh, I try that the next time.

Okay, forget about 5) - I get this now - fertility of the people... Here's another debug.err, again no dump. It got me in tactical combat, it was the AIs turn and suddenly it stopped after 2 of 5 units. I couldn't do anything, so I started the task manager and saw an info-dialog reading something like "invalid dx call": http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/2011_03_11_2_debug.err 8. I p layed the first time for month and would like to share my impressions. First of all here's the link to the debug.err: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141154/2011_03_11_debug.err There was no dump for I had to kill the process while I couldn't do anything else anymore after hitting end turn on turn ~200. On the desktop there was the OOM-InfoWindow. Perhaps it had something to do with the jre-update checker that ran in t

The Adventurer-Tech_Tree: So you have "goodie huts" and alike in mid and late game. One thing you could polish here is the description of notable locations, so that it doesn't read level x but a more atmospheric textual description of the level of "dangerousness". Also, I don't like that you see higher level locations but can't enter them because you don't have the level...too technical.

Something from germany: Elemental has been reviewed by Germany's big game-magazine GameStar. They took version 1.08 and EWOM got 77 of 100 points. Here's the link: http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/elemental-war-of-magic/test/elemental_war_of_magic,44740,2317608.html

So, here we are: ~6 weeks after release, many patches later. Just yet the final one before the game play changes of 1.1x to come. When EWOM was released (1.01 I think) I wasn't surprised that the game play was not polished and balanced as I had been part of the beta and the Beta ended before that could be done. I was surprised about the crashes and bugs that appeared, for the last Beta I tested seemed more stable. So, to sum it up I was disappointed about the state of the ga

I like that you can research in the Adventurer section and get yourself goodie hats etc. in late game. One small change would improve the atmosphere: Don't say "needer level :3 your level:2". That's far too technical. At first reconsider if you want to show locations one could not yet use. Does that make sense? And independent from that decision swap the "level x" text with something like: harmless, dangerous etc...

And here further basic things that should be done: Items: - back in the Beta we had been able to swap items - I don't know how this works now? - let me sell/drop every item I have in my inventory for every heroe I have - I still don't know why you didn't chose a "normal" item-eqipment screen, where there is a character and you can equip the different items directly to the character, so you'd see which "places" are left. - Add a text to items tellin

Just continued my save game and played 2 hours without crashes. So, I think you improved quite well and the game is quite fun. I appreciate that you want to change some game concepts, but in my opinion it'd be better to really hunt down every small bug and to polish the ui so one can use the concepts that are alreadyl there in the best way. Some Bugs: - Bought a traveller's coat for my daughter. She got it on the picture, but she hadn't equipt it nor was I able to equi

The thing is: the green-bordered tiles only show on the map on which you openend the build menu. So, if you've openened the menu on the cloth map and then zoom in on the city to give your order the tiles aren't there. If you zoom back out to the cloth map there they are again. If you start on the engine map they don not get displayed on the cloth map.

1 Replies 1,275 Views

Yes, this is still happening. It happens from the cloth map, it happens form the engine-map. You open the build menu and choose abuilding. You click on one green-bordered tile and the camera moves a bit and the build order is placed somewehre else. I know it happened for some other folks but because there aren't so many complaints about this (believe me when it's happening it's quite annoying) I think it's some problem with my machine, so here's a debug.err: <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6
- Mouse cursor is not accurate. Many times I have clicked on one square only to have the building placed or unit move to a different square. Most the time the wrong square chosen is not even the adjacent square. You do not misclick and have a building land a dozen squares away a dozen times in a row. The game even has to scroll the screen to place the building. Pretty bad when a game can not even do the simple function of cursor placement. [...

So here's a list of screens I'd like to see in the game: - Unit Overview (location, type, strength, etc] - City Overview (more detailed than the icons on the left) - Trade Route overview (from where I can route my caravans and when there is not yet a caraven and I make a trade route the city should build one)

Hey, thanks for all of the good work. I'm slightly confused with all of the names of the different versions. Yesterday I played a v1.00 - is that the special-Beta-Tester-Gold++? I just updated to v1.01 - is that the day-0-Version? I ask because I have to verify some issues that I encountered with the v1.00 and would like to do that with day-0 version, so that I don't post old news.

Still I think that iterating one more time in the beta cycle had done the release version some good. Actually the whole polishing thing was done by Stardock and while I'm thinking the day-0 Version will be fun to play I also assume that for my quality standards the 30-day patch version will be what I would expect on release date. But with Civ-5 in mind a release next week was still the right decision. Can't wait for tomorrow evening (CET)...
