I may have to check again.

If you want to win all your games just by trading or delevoping technology fine. Wining by being down right evil should be allowed as well. If is offends just do not play evil. As far as influence it should be a indication of your status in the Universe. If you have more planets, better technology, and the population is greater than with all the Alien races it really should not matter if you are Evil or Good.
Scrolling through the list of ships if I find a ship in orbit I want to find. Clicking on the ship does not zoom me to the system anymore.
Would it be possible to make individual setting of sliders for each planet? My suggestion is to have setting for each governor - it would allow fine tuning of production split-up without too much micromanagement." I strongly support this option! And it makes common sense too, Great idea.
Why is there so many anti warmonger posts. Americans are warmongers and this is one of the things that make the US the strongest nation on Earth. Being evil was one of the coolest ways to win a OS/2 game. Societies through history have been able to hold hostile populations. For example the British, French, Spanish government stole North America from the Native population. Why because there technology was better. The British won the French/Englis
There is all ready a super weapon the terror star. So I see no problem having lesser distructive weapons.
I won with this build a few times now. I would give it a higher score now that I won. Still lots of thing missing though.
Beta 2 seems to crash more often, and I am lazy. When I set a game to moron levels I expect too win. I can not win by trading technology for planets.
Two ways to stop a system from revolting. 1) Execute anybody that disagrees with your way of thinking. 2) Expell the dissenters to loyal systems where they can be assumulated. I like JavaScout's idea.
I vote for Viewpoint #2.
Cood be really cool. I can picture a game where Galatic Civilzations plays the same way as the end of the cold war. Humanity is strong good capitalist civilization. The next civilzation is a military government and very evil. This civilization finds out about the joys of capitalizm and of course we want new markets. :CONGRAT:
I also use a linksys Cable/DSL router and was able to reach the Metaverse.
This is bad I complain that the game is too hard and the next beta gets harder. By the time Stardock releases the game nobody will ever win. (:( Strange even though my browser said I was logged in I had to log out and in again before I could post.
Could not post :p
Never played Earth and Beyond so I can not say. The game has elements of Master of Orion but it came first, also it is more complex. Every game is different and can be played different. You can play Evil, can play Good, win by trading or researching technology. The game adapts to the way you decide to play. For example if you decide to crush every Alien race you meet, the Technologies change and you get techs that help you wipe out Aliens, control your population.
Does anybody except me care that the Multiverse containd your Email address and it can not be block as far as I can tell. Posting Email addresses on the Internet is a great way to get SPAM :sniff!:
I'm still stuck at the "cakewalk/good :sniff!:
It is they way of society works anyway. Who is ever truly happy. People always have something to complain about Taxes, Health care, road etc... Trying to walk the thin line is what Politics is all about.
I like the idea of mines as well. It would be something new to GC. I find other Civilizations are too quick in trying to wipe me out. My only defense is a good offense. This is fine if you are playing the game with the War Party and you are going for Galatic Domination. If you are trying to build a peaceful trading federation why should you have to build battleships to defend yourself? "MAD" at the Galatic Scale. Defense technology would be the way to go.
I am glad the game will get new elements not in the original idea. The only thing that is scaring me off is the game is beginning to shape up as something for hardcore gamers only. Even now with the game hard to win people are complaining it is too easy. Casual gamers will not put up with something that is overly complicated an impossible to win.
I noticed the same thing.
When you register you need the serial number of Galatic Civalizations? The only Serial number I have is Dregin Game Manager ?
The permission error I used to get is gone :CONGRAT:
If you mean you would like the aliens to have 2 or 3 systems when you find them compared to say you having 25 systems. I am really on your side.
