Quoting Mtn_Man, reply 301 I will say this: I'm amused by all the posts I'm seeing in various Civ 5 forums saying things like, "This will be an awesome game once they fix issue X, Y, and Z with a patch/expansion." But that's O.K. because it has Sid Meier's name on the box, so of course it deserves a top rating. If only Elemetal were so lucky. Been playing Civ V lately. Yeah, both ga

I love Elemental and I love Civ 5. Both games offer a unique experience to those who love turn based games. I am, however, putting Elemental aside to play Civ V for a bit. I want to see a few more patches come to Elemental and see it get a little more straightened out before I get frustrated with it. I needed a break anyway and Civ V is a good game too so I will watch the response to the next patch or two and that will determine the length of my break from Elemental. I am not giving u

But with a cruel svovereign it seems to be impossible to get a good moral. I started a new game where i'm at turn 452 and the spell still work fine....well i have a moral about 140 or something But yes now it starts to crash because my system runs out of memor

Low level magic does not seem to be of any use. Cast flame dart 17 times with a 100% miss rate at the weakest creatures you will encounter.Stopped playing after that but does it get better later? do you need to 100% beef up int and essence?

One of my first games outside the C64. Anyway, 45 here and my kids think I am cool cuz I can still keep up with em in the games. I will game till my hands won't work any more and by then we will hopefull just need to stare at the screen to make

We all recognize the issues with Elemental on release but I still think it is a hell of a lot of fun and have gotten my money's worth so far. I only expect more and better to come going forward and when the modders get to work there will be lots out there for this game. The $50 question is subjective. I have felt it worth the money I spent.

Denied, etc. Stardock needs to put something at the site telling people the campaign is coming soon or something. I followed the instructions in the book and poke around but it was only when I came here that I found out the campaign from the book is not avialable yet.

Defining "buggy but good' as a game one should take a look at The Guild 2 and the following expansions. They basically did what Brad has said Stardock won't, whic is to sell expansions to get the game right. Even still, it has flaws. The Guild 2 is another game that was good (after a bit) but has stayed flawed and I doubt will ever be the game it could be. With the support Stardock offers its game you can be sure it won't go the way of The Guild 2 serience which did not

I always start with saying how awesome I think Elemental is and how I think it is coming together. Perhaps not as smoothly as we all might like but coming together none the less. One thing that seems to have snuck in is losing some of your champions for no apparent reason. It happened some during beta, then on release I did not see it happen, but since 1.06 it has happened again. I had one of my daughters stationed in a frontier town, prepping for a raid to take a city state (non-majo

I have been building some tiles for a quest line but it looks like all you can do is upload maps. I am going to wait a bit before I start really digging in. The editing tools are great though.

Hello all, Inspired by Frogboys posts in the journal I have updated my blog with the first part of a walkthrough review. I use my blog for a number of things and was maintaining a few of em and neglecting one or the other. I am starting to merge them together and my gaming blog is moving to this one, plus I am going to do better to keep it up to speed as I have a lot of readers who have been giving me a hard time:) Click on the external link in this post or go to <a href="http

Quoting KillzEmAllGod, reply 3 one point isn't much at all could just add it the ability to your faction in Xml if your cheap. Why are there apologists for every little thing? No, it's not being cheap. A purely visual/thematic effect should not cost points that are designed to

I love the game and I see its future. I have been waiting for a great turn based title like this for a long time. That being said it needs some love and I know you all have been working feverishly to give it that love. I am sure you are overloaded with little bugs, fixes, suggestions, and tweaks. I would fix the "swing and a miss" thing. I know it it part of the mechanic of tactical combat but it is a little annoying. Anyway, doing a large blog piece I will post inspir
What a joke .i got ripped -off stardock ,thanks for nothing.
Actually, bad analogy. Automakers do that with every new release. They call em recalls! Recalls = Patches but with a recall you have the hassle of taking it to the dealership and leaving the car for what could be a long time. To me, Elemental is already a good game. Just needs some more patching to be done.

Hey Stardock team, this is completely constructive. I love this game and have played the heck out of it in Beta and now. Now on to what I am encountering. My attacks miss a lot. I mean, 1 might hit out of 10-20 swing across a variety of units and champions. My sov will drop spells on a unit and miss over and over. Archers seem to rarely hit even when I make em vets and have squads, etc. In one large battle I finally got down to a couple of enemy units against my large ar
Under Train Soldiers, you should have an entry for spiders now, and can set how big a squad you make and their experience level and all of that. I have had a mixed bag. I had Umber attack with himself and his wife against a well defended city but then I had Magnar (sp?) besiege my main city for turns on end hitting me hard. had my sovereign and most of my champions locked down there. I finally beat him back and am now sending a force after him. It was touch and go, especially when two of his sons lead a big force in with summoned creatures.
