Wow, Thread hijack in progress!!! I was expecting preview/review links but I am getting a math leasson. So look, here is the problem with that review, or rather the root problem. Most people won't care about the math and not even notice, letting the game figure that out. Let's face it, we are most of us lazy that way. What kind of good reviewer fails to mention specifically that they are working with a pre-release beta version. He mentions the game is not out yet but for th

I pay attention and read reviews to help guide me but they are rarely the final factor in my thoughts to buy or not to buy. A "Preview" of a pre-release product that never mentioned it was as beta version let me know the review was not valid. A Poster had to note it was the beta 4 version. I base my personal score of a game on how fun it is, not if it has math errors. Elemental was already an engaging, fun, and addicting game in beta 4. I am sure patches will clean up math errors and

First time playing it since I demoed it years ago upon release. So far, the game is actually quite awesome. Taking a break now, though, due to a crash to desktop after a 20 minute skirmish that I was almost done with. It really needs an autosave. Might watch The Guild again. That show is awes

The mod tools for this game look great. I made some tiles with beta 4 and can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the tools. Are you planning to create mods? What are you thinking you will make?

MOM was a classic and I think it is awesome that Stardock has made Elemental, which is by all means a next generation version of the MOM style of game. I hope they make oodles of money so they can keep making these types of games as the mainstream apparently does not see the value. I hope Elemental will change that view. There was another game I am having trouble remembering the name of. I played it about the same time as MOM. you played a group of adventurers in germany (or germ

I was a little worried about the art style at first but I really like it. The look is fantastic and different from other games. The towns look cool and when you zoom in the little animated details make it even better.
Does anyone know what is happening????
I am not speaking for Stardock but I have been keeping up. Basically, Your pre-order key is fine. They have been disabled so that they can upload the live version but in honor of release dates your key in disabled until the 24th or maybe a little earlier if you pre-ordered before a certain date...MAYBE. Hope that helps!

Doesn't matter when it was made or edited - something unexpected happens, they post about it pretty quickly. That's how it works. I shouldn't even have to remind people that it happened pretty late at night on the east coast, and they were still around to let people know. Who "slipped thro

Altough I'm quite sure that people at Stardock are very happy about the drooling and anticipation feelings around the board, there is no real need to stress yourselves about it. Right now Stardock is working to be able to get an early realease for preorders/beta testers plus all the extra stuff associated with game releasing. Come on! It's less than a week away! I was just talking with my friend about this game a couple days ago. How it was one of those rare games that combined campaign level warfare and politics with dungeon crawling. I also liked how they did the warfare, it felt like playing Stratego on the mini-battlefield. I still

Done. I did not rate day 0 that highly only because beta 4 still had a bad mem leak or two. There are other bugs but none appear to be gamebreakers. I also heard the podcast and understand there will be a major UI change which I hope beta testers get thier hands on before the game goes live. My hopes for the game over all are excellent though and I think the game already rocks!

(rolls eyes too) Thus the statement "ready for prime time". The mem leak was there in beta 3 as well and with only two weeks to go I think it is still noticable enough to cause some grief on forums with fans if not at least mostly tackled before release. Stardock is doing a great job and I am loving this gam
