I've added this under Odds and Ends, to the Regularly Updated List of Mods for E:LH., as well as at the end of the Xtra_Deconstruct listing. [e digicons][/e]

I went ahead and added this twice, once under Xtra Deconstruct, and it's own standalone entry under Odds and Ends. [e digicons][/e]
The site is still active, you must be experiencing internet weirdness... I've seen this happen a few times with other sites. Essentially, the nameserver routing information gets disrupted, so you termporarily lose access to some sites. Checking again later, or trying to visit some unrelated sites to 'coax' the internet to show you the 'missing' sites sometimes works. Usually, though, just trying again another day will work. DDOS attacks or
I was just reading this thread, looking for a standalone game file that people could download, to determine if I should add it to the E:LH Mods list, and then I notice this tiny note at the top... Thanks for the heads up! I'll leave this off of the Mods list for now, but if you want to fully 'release' this as a standalone mod, I will of course be more than happy to add the list! Just let me know!!! [e digicons][/e]
I've added this to the Regularly Updated List of Mods for E:LH, underneath your Patchwork Mod entry. [e digicons][/e]

[quote who="Savyg" reply="25" id="3439258"] I finally ditched my unstable i7 920 with damaged motherboard system for an A10-7850K, good to see Mantle doin its thing. I hope you guys will use the hybrid GPU support in it for something or other (and TrueAudio as well!) (Still using the GeForce 660 until I can upgrade that though so no Mantle for me...yet.) I'm surprised to see the hostility on the related TechReport comments....some good points are rai
I did see that. Again, that 'won't update' thing is bothersome to me, not that I would ever update. Plus, as I said, Photoshop 7 does me fine. I simply am NOT supportive of Adobe's current software subscription model, as well as several tech sites that are also not in support of it. I'm allowed, it's a free country. CS6 won't run on my older machine as well, at least not without it severely struggling...
Couple of things. With that budget, an integrated GPU is well below what what your budget will allow. APU systems (the ones that just use the GPU on the procssor) are nice for 'every day' machines, but for serious gaming you'll be going the dGPU route (separate graphics card) to begin with. With myself being an unabashed AMD fanboy, I'll still recommend an Intel i5 or i7 system. It looks like new Intel processors are scheduled for release in Q2 2014
If I had to pay even $9.99 a month for the Photoshop 7 I have now, I'd be WELLLLL over what I did pay for it. 10 years x 12 months x $9.99 is $1198.80, well over the $350-$500 I ended up paying for it. And, as I said, it still serves me well, but then I use it for me, not some graphics design company. Oh, and CS6 STILL wouldn't work on my XP laptop (processor is too old). Commercially oriented companies MIGHT come out ahead in the long run with the subscrip
I'd imagine that if the game designers push things too far with their game releases, and GPUs start catching fire left and right, that there could be a class action suit involved... That being said, I don't see people running a stress benchmark 24/7/365, so I think the Oxide guys are safe for now...
Ascendancy also uses warp lines. They haven't made a new PC version yet though, just iOS...
My Photoshop is older than your Photoshop! [e digicons][/e] Seriously, I haven't upgraded since 7, as I needed backward compatability with XP. 7 does everything I need it to though, so while I'm missing a few bells and whistles I'm happy with what I have. Plus, I don't like the new 'subscription' model that Adobe has went with...
I have an interesting experience to share with you PC geeks/tweaker types. A quick background. I have a circa 2007 Toshiba laptop running 32 Bit Vista, with a AMD Turion X2 TL-64 processor and 4 GB of ram, which I use daily for my computing needs. It does alright for a circa 2007 Laptop, but I've done a few things to really pep it up over the years. The first thing I did when I started down this path was to 'max out' the ram to 4 GB (it came with just 2
This Mod has been added to the Regularly Updated List of Mods for E:LH. I put it under Extensive Mods for now, and listed it above your other Extensive Mods, as some of those mods are referenced, and are partially/mostly incorporated into this mod. You mentioned this being a Beta, so if this gets past 'Beta' status and you are able to accomplish everything via the Mods folder, I'm not sure if it should be listed as a Simple Mods instead, as your instructions seem fai
Well, the Mantle vs DirectX review site comparisons are beginning to surface. This german site shows a 2x to 3x increase using Mantle... <a title="http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.golem.de%2Fnews%2Famds-mantle-api-im-test-der-prozessor-katalysator-1402-104261-4.html&sandbox=1" href="http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.golem.de%2Fnews%2Famds-mantle-api-im-test-der-prozessor-kata
So I downloaded FreeOrion this week, and have been playing it fairly heavily in the last few days. www.freeorion.org It's still a 'beta', albiet a rather well functioning one. The most recent forum thread discussing FreeOrion is mid 2010, so I felt it was best to post a new thread, rather than doing the thread necro thing... besides it looks like the game has improved significantly since then. I usually do pretty well with GalCiv, but FreeOrion, eve
I haved added this just underneath the Demons and Wizards Mod listing, to the Regularly Updated List of Mods for E:LH. [e digicons][/e]
your entry has been updated. Thanks Primal Savage!
Apologies for the delay. I was on vacation... I've updated the entry for this in the Regularly Updated List of Mods for E:LH. Keep up the good work! [e digicons][/e]
According to an article I read on wccftech yesterday, the 'Mantle' patch (i.e. the Catalyst patch which contains Mantle support) will be released at the end of January. So I would guess that Oxide may time the demo release to coincide with the Catalyst 13.35 patch.
So, I was scanning the new posts today, and came across yet another recent discussion about city defenders, which made me think of one of my pet peeves in Elemental. How the blazes did the attacking armies get in the city already?!? Especially if you have added walls to the city? So, following this train of thought, I spent a few minutes (re)envisioning some tactical vs strategic map changes that would make combat a little more interesting IMHO. <spa
Oooh, shinies! [e digicons][/e]
