Reloading? So you lost a combat you thought to win, became angry and reloaded? No problem for me, it worked both ways. HOMM5 levelling could be annoying depending upon what you wanted and what you got. How about visiting witches huts in HOMM3? That was a pain, hiring a dupe to go see if the witch had a winner or a dud. Whatever you don't like you could mod to be different. Why don't you say what you want instead of saying what you do

Thinking on it, having a system like in Stars! where detection lessens the further away you are would work only with static detectors (like cities, outposts and roads) because then players would feel like having to move individual units everywhere to maximise detection, and that would be dull and a chore, even with AI assistance in setting up patrols. I still think this would be a good idea, especially in multiplayer a good fog or war and stealth system would be very fu

I agree with the OP. Would fighting units be all male/ all female, or a mixture of men and women? Perhaps allow the user to choose. Ultimately does it matter if units are mixed or not? Its only a game. Don't change stats between male and female units, it gets too complicated, make it a cosmetic difference only.

As a mortal keeping your glorious leader out of sight may be a wise thing to do, especially if they are weak. Has anybody played Chaos Overlords? Its a kinda card game, but not really, and its very good. Basically you (technically your gang) are represented as a card and if that card is eliminated then its game over. So in Chaos Overlords you make some stealth gear to make it hard for the opposition to find you. Of course the opposition does the opposite, they make dete

Polution is a problem, and should be dealt with. but we are being distracted by the shysters (Al Gore, Rajendri Pachauri) into believing their money making agenda. If we locked up both of them (and their cohorts) and concentrated on the problem we would probably be able to solve it. But not as long as we are chasing fairies. [/quote] &n

Tough call. If the AI is smart..... Yes If the battle AI was like in Medieval 2 Total War.... No For me it would depend on the AI, will it be willing to take "safe" risks to get the advantage as a human would and know when the risk becomes too great? I'd hate to play a game where multiple competitors died in the early game due to pushing the limits.

I've been thinking of two extremes, military vs magic, and how to utilise their respective production bases (troops for military and research for magic). Military production seems simple, get some people and give them sticks to poke with. It seems similar to Master of Magic, the town has a base production and it determines the speed of creation, buildings speed it up or allow better arms or mythical steeds, or whatever. Magic in Master of Magic is

I had a waking thought about Elemental this morning. I don't know if that is good or not. Talk of the end game being cool because the possibility for any player (Human or AI) to make a comeback will be included. I'm thinking then will I be able to take on the hardest AI, make no headway in the early-mid game and then WHAM!, kick ass for an endgame victory? (yes, I know that a victory will always occur at the end of the game :) ) If the endgame wil
