I agree: This game needs more Dominions 3 influence :) I like that Elemental has diplomacy though, Dom 3 doesn't have that unless you play MP. I want a 'special' magic system like Dom3 & MoM. Also: The lore needs to be deeper and perhaps shouldn't be afraid to draw some paralels to real world myths. Dom 3 & MoM style. This can be fitted into the current factions to make them more 'unique' in play and attractive in lore. &nbs

I agree that Magic and channelers should be looked at but that hardly constitutes a fundamentally flawed premise for the game. Gameplay or even "the game" isn't built on any of the premises you offer. The "idea" is the creation of a game in which the player as an immortal channeler gets to experience building an empire or kingdom during which he'll also have to deal with rivalling factions and use magic as well as mundane forces to "survive".
Even in 1.07, High hopes for 1.1 though :P
They should do Black & White :P It looks very real, remarkable quality. I wonder what the specs are of that computer running it.

I would vehemently support the way Dominions 3 deals with this. If your pretender dies he can be "reformed" through a magical ritual which requires some time. (like 30 to 60 turns). The Channelers are supposedly immortal anyway so this wouldn't be a big change. Plus there might be some sort of spell that leads to Sovereign perma-death if used?
I also have the feeling that, at the risk of sounding elitist, it attracts a lot of more educated people. Or atleast older people, this was something I hadn't experienced before DOM3. A community of the elderly [e digicons]:P[/e]
Exactly I'd love to see Dominions Magic system in Elemental. Eyes of Oedipus! Anyone remember that spell and it's dare I say "blinding", counterpart? :D
I wish we could get that amount of depth in Elemental, this game would be Emperor of Gameland for years to come! Especially the magic system is awesome! Just wait until you get kidnapped to Tartarus :P (I really miss this sort of thing in Elemental :'( )

I have no idea, there has been very little feedback on this issue other than "update your drivers". Which we did, but the problem remains. If I remember correctly I did pick up somewhere that it was related to Havoc.

I bought the game partly because of that statement and if I remember correctly such advertising makes it something of a binding comittment too, for Stardock. I doubt they would have just thrown it in there as a sales pitch. It's too specific. (there will be as opposed to maybe...)
Out of memory error with Catalyst 10.8 (newest), sound had stopped working a bit before that.
